Simon is also a keen bass dep for any local band that needs it, thanks for the gigs to "Fully Covered", "The Cadence".
Simon is a secondary school teacher, teaching both Maths and Music, and is now an approved tutor, teaching bass guitar.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.fullmoonfever.co.uk
Band Members: Simon plays lead and rhythm guitar, bass, keys and sings on his own recordings. Guest musicians include Graham Foley and Jimi Kerslake (drums), Simon Herd (guitar solos) and Patrick Garrett (hip hop vocals).
Influences: Ayreon, REM, The Who, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Beatles, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Spock's Beard, Bruce Springsteen, Iron Maiden, Guns n' Roses, U2, Megadeth, Metallica, Judas Priest, Sheryl Crow, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, Neil Young.
Sounds Like: My solo stuff: Pink Floyd mostly, cos I have weak and weird vocals quite similar to Roger Waters! The hip hop/rap stuff: no idea, as I write the music for my brother, and I have no background in hip hop at all.

New recording - Play With Fire

I've posted my new recording of Play With Fire. I've stuck pretty closely to the Rolling Stones' arrangement, although of course the vocals are not similar... oh well. Still, it's refreshing to start ...

Offer of dep bass playing

I'm keen to dep for other bands whenever it might be needed, so long as it doesn't clash with my current gig commitments (which I keep updated on my page at all times). I know there are lots of cool b...

Great gig in Bradninch

New recording this week

I'm recording a new song this week, for the simple fact that I'm on holiday. It's going to be a slightly different version of the obscure REM song "Wendall Gee". I've done the basic acoustic chords a...

Incomplete new track

I've just posted a new track I've been working on this week. It has a large number of keyboard overdubs that I'm quite chuffed with, and the acoustic guitar has come out quite well too. The electric g...
