.. ..My favorite movie as a child was:
If you didnt see this before the age of ten you missed out...I tried to watch it a few years ago and there is no amount of weed that could make this movie watchable.
I am hopelessly addicted to BBC America!!! This is one of my favorite shows...High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman. One of the funniest things I have ever seen. EVER. ..
My books are my favorite things..so many have helped to shape and guide me...
One of my favorites is And I Don't Want to Live This Life by Nancy Spungeons' mother. It tells the story of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungeon. A love story really. Except he kills her at the end and then commits suicide.
I also love every word written by Clive Barker....Cabal, Imajica, The Great and Secret Show, The Thief of Always, Weaveworld...one of my favorite authors of all time.
Another book that changed my life was the Jim Morrison biography No One Here Gets Out Alive by Danny Sugarman.
I read that book when I was a teenager and many many years later made a pilgrimage to the same bookstore in San Francisco that a young Jim Morrison had once visited...I even bought some of the same books...Kerouac, Kesey and a poetry anthology featuring Allen Ginsberg.
Some others that come to mind...The Tao te Ching by Lao Tzu, Black Holes and Baby Universes by Dr. Stephen Hawking, Jung, Freud's The Cocaine Papers,
White Oleander, Kate Chopin's The Awakening, King's Dark Tower Series, Harry Potter, mythology, John Lydon's autobiography Rotten, books on art and how to make really exotic cocktails. Remember "Choose Your Own Adventure" books?! Here are a few faves from my childhood...
Boudicca Warrior Queen of the Iceni
