I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, writing, artist, quilting, painting, drawing, sewing, reading, music listening, birding, traveling, happy woman.
I like listening to my husband, Raf, sing. I like to watch my grandchildren grow and learn. I like autumn, and Christmas, and snow ('though that's not common in Texas!).
I like visiting museums. I like to travel around the USA in our travel trailer, or go to Alaska on a cruise. I like to see old friends and family and meet new friends...and family I didn't know. I like to read, and watch birds, and dream, and sleep late and stay up late, as well. I like being retired...although it makes me tired sometimes! Working was less tiring...but MUCH more stress-filled! I love our church and our church family. I am not a joiner, but rather a doer on my owner!
I like learning new things and practicing old skills. I liked listening to singer/songwriter/folk music, and I loved sipping a chai tea frappe at H2JO when it was there...come on, somebody, open a new coffeehouse soon! (and we miss it!!), or watching film noir, especially 1930's and 1940's movies.
I like Survivor, and Project Runway, and House Hunters, and As the World Turns, and Design Star, Medium, Men in Trees, and Food Network.
I like being me.
My main blog is Sioux's Aubergine Pensées .
