I am the Denver Zoo, an 80-acre zoo in the middle of City Park. I provide a home to hundreds of animals in Denver, Colorado. I've been around a long time -- 110 years old, to be exact -- but don't call me an old lady! In fact, after a few recent facelifts and some ongoing reconstructive surgery, I'm in better shape than ever!
I was founded in 1896 when an orphaned black bear cub named Billy Bryan was given to the mayor. Now, I have species from all over the world, including hoofed mammals, carnivorous mammals, pachyderms, birds, reptiles, and fish. Some of my favorite personal features are Tropical Discovery, Bird World, Primate Panorama, and my brand new Predator Ridge.
