Singer/Deejay (rapper) with a catchy tune that makes you
want to Dance is exactly want DreGargon is about. Born 1986, in St. Ann’s Bay,
Jamaica, Adrian Barton grew up in the country areas of Jamaica, raise by poor
but providing family. Adrian has always been talented with music and singing, as
he was always preferred to sing leads in his church. This dancehall music
sensation wants to grab the attention of the whole music scene in general.
Singing, dancing and playing reggae/dancehall music at a
young age was considered to be disrespectful or wrong to his church, but Adrian
still sang some of his favorite artist songs, like Bob Marley, Beanie Man,
Bounty Killa and the list goes on…With a new release of his “Makin’ U Dance†album, DreGargon
is making a name for him self causing a good buzz in the local clubs.
At age 13 Adrian travel to Kingston, Jamaica to meet with
his father, who he had never seen before but felt unwanted so he returned to the
country. Adrian then moved to Montego Bay, Jamaica at age 14 where he stayed his
mother and his new father. While attending Cornwall College he was first
introduced to hip hop and rap, so he sang songs of hip hop with his friends in
class rooms. Adrian mixed the hip hop style with a dancehall flava. “I mostly do
it for the girls†is what he always said.
After moving to Melbourne, FL. (America) at age 16, Adrian
quickly made friends and stayed singing in his new classes with his new friends.
One friend noticed his talents and introduced him to a local rapper at age 17
where he first recorded a song called “why u niggaz wah play.†He was mostly
influenced to sing and rap as a rude boy or a gangster that made local rappers
fall in love with his unique sound, and wanted to have him featured on their
songs.
He changed up his
lyrics to talk about what he liked most, which is the ladies. This is making him
a unique artist like none other around his local area or even state. He came up
with the name DreGargon which means bringing hip hop and dancehall together. Now
he is known to put out nothing but hit songs. He puts god first and will
continue making music to his fullest potential. People just want to listen to
his songs over and over again. Makin’ U Dance is a definite hit!
