About Me

Paul Richter and Paul Beohm met on the professional European handball circuit in the early 1980s. After discovering that the xbox was still 20 years away from being on the market the two decided to pass some time by writing tunes.Initially they were going to call themselves New Order but apparently it was taken so they decided to release their productions under the name Karton, because its German for something (apparently) and they have a secret love of intentionally misspelling words.The Pauls have released tunes on labels like Sound Not Scene, Sound of Habib and have remixed for Sango and Seductive Audio. Their releases have seen support from from the Crystal Method, Hybrid, Plump DJ's and James Zabiela to name a few and with upcoming releases on Vacation Records, Sound of Habib and Transverse as well as a full length LP 'For All Seasons' on the way it looks like being a big year for Karton.
