A bunch: records, politics, ecology and nature (especially birds), origami, drawing and painting, old books, patterns, hats, parasites, traveling, speaking Spanish and learning other languages, DJing as much as possible.
I'd really like to spend more time with the good people I already know. I'm always happy to meet music lovers and DJs and artists and subversives.
Funk, soul, hip-hop, old-time, anything real and moving and raw. James Brown, Talking Heads, Edan, Quantic, Afrika Bambaataa, MF Doom, Nina Simone, King Crimson, Cat Power, Django, Hassan Hakmoun; that's just what I've been listening to this afternoon. I just picked up the new El Michaels Affair/ Raekwon single, it's nice.
Love 'em. The weirder the better:
Don't have one. However, I enjoy the occasional music video:" mspobj type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="355" width="425"
I need to get off this computer and go read one dammit. Recently Read "View From a Burning Bridge". A nice little novel which takes place in my hometown (pop. 800) of Montville Maine. Crazy.
That's a strong word. There are many people I respect and admire: Alfred Russel Wallace, Richard Francis Burton, Edward Gorey, and David Byrne among others.
