Everyone should read The Poisonwood Bible and The Kite Runner! I also like almost all of Oprah's recommends and most anything by Toni Morrison and Alice Walker. The Tao, The Prophet, The Four Agreements, Peace Like a River. Cry, The Beloved Country, The Outlander series, etc. I read almost every day so my list would be too long if I kept going.
Heroes:
I admire anyone with compassion and the strength to be true to themselves and those who truly give of themselves.
