After developing his abilities, philosophies and ideologies during years of on-and-off touring with mid-Michigan indie rock elitists, The Last Broadcast, Jacob was left to find himself as a different kind of songwriter in a different kind of place. Following years of hiatus that brought marriage, college and maturity, he emerges with Bless Our Burning Heart, reinstating himself as one of the most profound and gifted performers in the Midwest. Live, as Wolfgang insists, there are "no gimmicks" and "no tricks," simply honest, unadorned songwriting from the heart and guts of America.
Mid-November of 2007 marked the last dates on a five week tour that took Wolfgang through the midwest, south, and eastern United States. This was his first tour as a solo artist and the fruits of his labors will no doubt be harvested in the new LP that the tour showcased material from.
The forthcoming album will be a bit of a departure from the blatant omissions of the singer/songwriter genre. Rather, look for a broader offering as Wolfgang enters the studio with long time friends backing him up this time around.
