About Me

Hello all..... Before you enter here I want to make something perfectly clear. I want to begin by saying that I understand the concern by MySpace with content...given that the sword of the FCC has everyones heads on the chopping block these days...so I don't blame Tom for being cautious. Unfortunately, this intrusion by the FCC has put those of us who blog here in the situation of not always knowing, from one day to the next , what will or will not constitute a violation. Given this scenario...I am making the following statement to the general public.THIS SITE AND THESE BLOGS ARE FOR MATURE ADULTS! PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO MONOTOR THEIR CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES ONLINE...IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO TAYLOR MY SITE FOR THEM! THIS SITE AND THESE BLOGS ARE FOR MATURE ADULTS! "MATURE", IN THIS CONTEXT, ALSO MEANS...NOT CHILDISH! THE CHILDISH ARE NOT INVITED, WANTED OR NEEDED. IF YOU CHOOSE TO ENTER THIS SITE AND YOU DO NOT LIKE WHAT YOU SEE AND/OR READ...LEAVE AND DON'T COME BACK! THIS MySpace HAS BEEN CREATED TO EXPRESS MY THOUGHTS AND PERSONALITY...NOT YOURS! Now...as for those who are NOT childish...I bid you...............!!!!!!!!!!!!What can I say about me? Hmmmmmmmmmm.... We humans are multifaceted creatures. For instance...I am a first generation (drugless) hippy...a husband and father, grandfather, friend and lover, son and brother. I'm an artist (There are several of my early paintings and drawings on this page.)I'm a lover of beauty... including HUMAN beauty ... ... I am a philosopher and occasional writer ( Mainly blogs and letters to the editors with occasional op-eds for local papers.)I'm a lover of good books, poetry, music... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... and intelligent conversation. I love walking in my mountains and watching the changing seasons. I love watching the sunsets from my back yard and I love playing with my family. So.... What am I? I am all these things and more.

I am human...Perfectly Human. I'm not perfect in the sense that religionists attribute to their religious fantasies.I'm perfectly human. I do good. I make mistakes.I learn from my mistakes.I make amends and I don't repeat the same mistakes again. I don't accept unearned guilt and I make sure I don't earn any. I live life one breath at a time and savor every bit of it. I'm not immortal, infallible, omnipotent, omniscient or omnipresent. I'm just human...and that's all I want...or need to be. ... You Are 30 Years Old
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. (What Age Do You Act?) Okies...thats not bad.
You Are a Prophet Soul
You are a gentle soul, with good intentions toward everyone.
Selfless and kind, you have great faith in people.
Sometimes this faith can lead to disappoinment in the long run.
No matter what, you try to deal with everything in a calm and balanced way.

You are a good interpreter, very sensitive, intuitive, caring, and gentle.
Concerned about the world, you are good at predicting people's feelings.
A seeker of wisdom, you are a life long learner looking for purpose and meaning.
You are a great thinker and communicator, but not necessarily a doer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Bright Star Soul and Dreaming Soul (What Kind of Soul Are You?) Hmmmmmmmmm...I can confess to a lot of that.

In yet another vein...I love The Silent Classics. The following movie is the first cinimatic production of FRANKENSTEIN, filmed by Thomas Edison Film Company in 1910. Heroes:

This is going to be a long list.. Ayaan Hirsi Ali... "Do you think it strange that there is a Saddam Hussein? Muhammad is his example. Muhammad is an example for all Muslim men. Do you think it strange that so many Muslim men are violent?" For information on this extraordinary woman go to... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayaan_Hirsi_Ali#Youth ... ARISTOTLE... For all the errors in his philosophy Aristotle was the father of logic and the worlds first intellectual in the best sense of the term. He defined the basic principles of a rational view of existence and mans consciousness. He held there was but ONE reality. He held that this reality was absolute and existed independently of any perciever. He held that it was the purpose of consciousness to percieve...not create...reality. He held that abstractions are mans way of integrating his sensory material. He held that mans mind is his ONLY tool of knowledge. Western civilization owes this man much. It was Aristotle's philosophy that broke the power of the church and ushered in the Renaissance...the Industrial Revolution and made possible the birth of the United States.
