Sick and tired of being surrounded by generic bands-for-the-sake-of-it, all imitating the Libertines, the Human League, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode NIN, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and all claiming the same "cool" influences, Ed, Josh, and Ben started their own group, Stereodistas, in September of 2005 in an effort to bring something new to the heavily laiden table. Soon after a month of finding ourselves, Aled joined the band as singer, and we've never looked back into the sun. We are a band made-up of a huge range of tastes, each member's favourite style is wildly different from the others' which helps us creatively as we draw from a truly enormous pool of inspiration.
Always changing but why? Never satisfied with sticking to one song or getting too comfortable in our E-Z boy chairs, we find our style and sound constantly changing in an effort not to sound generic but we never really succeeded. Sometimes this can mean finding a song we're truly happy with becomes difficult, but that's because to us quantity is so much more important than quality. We don't want filler in our first album, just in the gigs.
