Hey, guys, I ask everyone to understand that I go through phases faster than most people. One week I can be obsessed with something, the next week I will have overwhelmed myself and will be sick of it. Some of my phases are cyclical, where my tastes change based on my mood, and as soon as I feel that mood again, there goes the phase!
When I'm tired and don't want my music to just blast energy in my face, I usually turn to Ambient Black Metal, or just black metal. (Not the popblack metal like Dimmu and Cradle, I'm talking Burzum's "Filosofem" and WITTR) (Note: I have no energy of my own, so I get it from coffee and metal.)
Right now, the band that I can't stop listening to is Opeth. I don't know their entire discography, so delving into it is a new thing for me. As soon as I've listened to it all over and over and over again, I'll move on. And then go back after a few months.
The genre at the moment that I am most likely to like on the first listen is Polish Death Metal, especially bands like Decapitated, Crionics, Vader, Behemoth, Dies Irae, etc...
