Ethereal Omen

About Me

Ethereal Omen began in late March 2005. Our original members were Rob and James on vocals, Frank on drums, John Paul and Gill on guitar and James Mosca on bass. Mosca never showed up to practices or rarely stayed if he came so we decided he should leave. Not long after, we found Francis Alfonzo and he filled the position very well. A couple of weeks after Francis joined he decided to leave because he didn't like our sound. Upon his leave Francis introduced us to Tony Stanziano (aka Chovis) and he fit perfectly.

Sounds Like: "5-piece melodic death metal here from New Jersey and let me tell you these guys kick some serious ass!...I'm sure that they are going to soar to the top of the charts in the melodic death metal scene! Talk about innovation, it's way here!" - Archaic Metallurgy ( Full review )

"Melodic death metal on a really different way from these days' melodic death metal bands. Variety and power of the riffs and melodies gathers on the Relics of the Ash album. You have to hear it to be able to understand what I mean." - Metal Revolution ( Full review )

"Hailing from Bayonne, New Jersey?! Melodic death metal band Ethereal Omen combine their influences of Opeth, At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity with their own formula for melodic death metal, and what we get from that is Relics of the Ash." - Unfashionable Creatures ( Full review )
