Just saw Matt Nathanson at a venue in San Diego I'd never been to before (courtesy of KPRI 102.1), The Abbey (what a unique place!), and Matt's hilarious nature and incredible talent were in rare form. If you've never seen Matt live (and I hadn't before seeing him on tour with Carbon Leaf...what a find Matt was!) you really should since you're pretty much getting not only an energetic musical performance by a very talented (and totally nice!) singer/songwriter, but also one heck of a stand-up comedy routine...VERY funny guy! :) Matt's on tour with his latest CD "Some Mad Hope", so do yourself a favor and check him out.
Woo-hoo, the Cat Empire's latest CD "So Many Nights" is FINALLY being released stateside after already going platinum in Australia. Fell in love, love, L-O-V-E with this band last year after seeing them perform "Sly" on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson ( click here to watch video), and would HIGHLY advise you to check them out! :)..Here are ten songs (chronological order) from The Cliks memorable concert at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, CA, on 3-20-08. I think there are only 1 or 2 songs I didn't record, but hey, a gal's gotta dance sometime! ;). Two new songs, "Wolfman" and "_____ Suicide" (sorry, not sure of the name of the 2nd one)are included. Unfortunately the lighting and sound are pretty sucky at the Knitting Factory (sound was better when I taped some of The Cliks there last August), but if you stick through the videos I think you'll get a good feel for how incredible the night was and how absolutely talented this 'on their way up' band is. Happy to say we knew you when, Lucas, Morgan, Nina, and Jen...continued success to all of you. We love ya! :)

Youth Against Poverty"It seems to me of great importance to teach children respect for life.Towards this end, experiments on living animals in classrooms should be stopped. To encourage cruelty in the name of science can only destroy the finer emotions of affection and sympathy."

If you can handle all of the above, I guess you can handle me. So pack your bags and join me on my crazy journey._______________________________________________________
