Well I guess I am going to update this every three months as part of a vicious cycle not to work on my dissertation...Lets see....I am a married mother of one boy, Benjamin, who I love and adore. My husband Cliff is the most supportive and loving man on the face of the earth and I love him too! We are currently living in Lansing, Michigan, where I am a doctoral canidate in history at MSU. This semester I am attempting to start writing my dissertation (as you can tell I am trying REAL hard) and I am also working as a research assistant developing programs for history education.I study European and German history and my dissertation examines internal migration between East and West Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall. I plan on spending the next academic year researching and writing in Germany, after which I will arrive with a fully written dissertation and magically begin a real life in which I make real money and don't have to function as anyone's lackey! This summer I will be teaching a course through MSU on the History of the Holocaust off campus in Birmingham, which should be very interesting. This is the second time I will be teaching a course completely of my own design and I am looking forward to the experience.
