If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer, a magic-bean-buyer. If you're a pretender

About Me

How many people can define themselves at all, let alone in a limited-character text box on a website, in a profile that random strangers will see as often as the people one actually knows? I don't really know who I am for sure, so I'm going to just pick some descriptors that work.First and formost, I'm a mom to two beautiful, brilliant daughters. I'm passionate, intelligent, seeking, curious, bright and talented (other people's words, not mine). I'm a musician, a lover, a writer, a sensualist, 'a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a prayer, a magic-bean-buyer' (credit: Shel Silverstein). I surf the internet all week, and I dress up like it's the middle ages or renaissance on weekends. I sew (sort of), I cook, I clean, I play soccer with my kids. I go for long walks and teach my four year old that, 'when a catapillar goes into a cocoon to sleep, and then comes out a butter fly, it's called metamorphosis'. I speak at least a little in multiple languages (German, Spanish, Italian, French as well as English), though I'm only conversant in one other than the one I was born to. Words are more important to me than just about anything other than music and my family; I like the way they taste, look, sound and feel. And, I guess that's me. I hope you enjoy!

Television:

Arrested Development got cancelled . . . so now, on the odd occasion I watch TV, it's whatever's on TLC or Food Network. I love Alton Brown and Trading Spaces, even if the latter is super lame now that they only work with people who could afford to hire their own decorators - I miss the days of houses that looked like mine and real solutions to real problems.
