I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I write like I talk, so this will be "stream-of-consciousness"...a few random bits of info regarding me...
We just bought a house. Man...I'm an adult?
I'm kind of a tomboy, but once in a while I'll put on a skirt...don't hold your breath, though.
I'm highly emotional and kinda moody, so try to stay on my good side:~P.
I'm a happily married chick living in Lansing, MI.
I'm a hardcore flirt, extremely extroverted, and a karaoke dork.
Everybody says that Tim and I will end up being swingers...interesting.
I love listening to people and giving unsolicited advice.
I sing all the time, sometimes very badly:~)
My best friends are 1. guys; and 2. girls who aren't "girly."
I swear I'm writing my great novel, one that will blow open the whole genre of whatever it is...when I can get the time to write it in longhand. Right now, all I have are outlines and story ideas rattling around in my head. Whatever it becomes, it will surely involve time travel and vampires.
I'm a bit of a grammar nazi.
I love coffee...good thing I work in a freakin' cafe and have access to 1,000 shots of espresso a day; however, any more than six shots and I'm a fidgety mess.
I love music...good thing I'm a wedding DJ...well, that's mostly for the open bar and free food, not to mention laughing my ass off at crackas who can't dance.
I love my car...a 2002 Mazda Protege5, manual, silver, great for hauling my DJ gear. Plus, it takes corners like what.
I mock people that I like, so don't take it personally.
My AIM screenname is U2hansolo...hit me up.

My Interests

Music, singing loudly, living up to my rep as "the human jukebox", books, bartending stuff, retro music, alphabetising (but not here, strangely enough), films, dancing, drinking, eating food that tastes good and is reasonably priced, debauchery, decadence, science, music, technology, spelling words and writing numbers the British way, electronics, sci-fi/fantasy, travelling, foreign languages, video games, pop culture history, popular music history...did I mention music? And lots of silly things like rollerskating, bowling, and playing "name that tune, bitch!" I always win at that game, wanna try me?
You Are Guinness
You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around. What's Your Beer Personality?
You're 85% Irish
Congratulations, you're a shining example of an Irish lass (or lad).
There's hardly anyone more Irish than you! How Irish Are You? Apparently I need to divide my time between the UK and Ireland, which is fine by me.

I'd like to meet:

People who aren't trying to be hip. Just be yourself, kids!
Musicians, writers, artists, photographers, dancers, bohos, hippies who bathe.
Anyone who will love that I'm a dork about the 80's.
Jake Gyllenhaal, Clive Owen, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Winslet, Natalie Portman, Heath Ledger, Bono, and Ewan MacGregor.

Music:
