About Me

Bio

David started his career about 5 years ago, exploring the music production path, falling in love of electronic music. From the moment he created his first beat, he knew that he was born to make great music, fortunely for us… he was right. From 2003 to 2005, he expend most of his time, improving and learning production techniques, where he was able to explore, and experiment with old and new school software and hardware, during this time, he discovered his new love, djing, and also learned and improved his own mixing techniques.
His professional career started at 2006 as a dj and as a producer. At begining of 2006, he produced til that date about 30 tracks, most of those tracks, were considered by national and international djs and producers as “chart hits”, but it was august 2006 when David signed most of those tracks with HMSPMusic New York, and finally he was letting know the world who was he. One month later after signed with HMSPMusic, his first EP “The Elect Sythndrome” was released to the public, getting a huge and positive reaction. The same month (september 2006) he participate in a djs/vjs/producers contest as a producer, hosted and organized by Techsound, called clandestino, where after a month of sharing, and showing his music and his talent, he won the contest between about 30 producers from bogota, and not just this, but he earn the respect and support of the bogota’s public and top djs and become one of the colombian top producers.
After his success on the scene not just as a producer but as a dj, he release in november his sccond ep “drop tha bomb!” that includes 2006’s David Top Track “Get Ready To Dance”. This last EP became one of the topsellers in the world, and his track, “Get Ready To Dance” was charted by many international clubbing charts and radios, where was one of the most respected communities in the world, MINISTRY OF SOUND. After release this EP, in december, and after being charted by ministry of sound, david remix chris warnick’s project, releasing under the label, mapasounds, the track “chris warnick – feel it (david riascos groove mix)”.
In 2007, after being invited to atlantic coast festivals, he participate at “beatcamp” where he had a really huge positive response from the public. Even he almost die at his way to the festival, he was able to play & that’s maybe the why his gig was so great. In february 2007, released his third EP, “warning”, releasing another hit, “in the clouds”.
This same month, he released his 4th work, the ep “Downtown Dancefloor” and at the same time, David was invited to the biggest festival in Bogota, Bogotrax, where he played at “la plaza de los periodistas” in front of hundreds of people, being this one of the greatest gigs of his career. After he released his 5th work, the single “Future/Touch The Sky” at the end of february, and at begining of march, he found himself, face to face with his worst nightmare, he had periferic vertigo, the doctors and specialists said, that he was loosing his audition and that he needed to rest to avoid the problem and get better, in a few words, he needed to let go his world. But, this didn’t stop David, he stop playing so often but keep producing his music.
Next to this, he join footloversmusic (joy kitikonti) and alicia records (juan navas), licensing some of his tracks, and also become part of the alicia team as dj and producer. This same month (march) latintronix release 4 compilations with the best of latintronix (HMSPMusic Sub-Label), David was part of 3 of the 4 compilations.
Some months later and after hard work David signed his track “the journal” with MAD Stuff Records France, also participate on the chemical brothers album release, this was a huge gig for him. Played in most of clubs of Bogota and work in his next EP “tech me” that was released on june 2007, creating once again another hit, his track “battery”.
During this time, David was working on his track “we rock again”, this track was signed by alicia records and it was remixed by world league producers such Marbrax, Jon Pegnato, Terry Mulan, Warner Powers, Dean Newton and colombian dj/producer, Deepjay Project. Also worked on his track “over and over”, this track includes David’s favorite artist, Stisch remix, and Daniweed Remix as well. This last two Works will be released at the end of the present year, and in the begining of 2008. From august til today, he’s been working as audio and media manager of alicia records.
David career has been short talking about time, wheter he’s working from about 5 years, he really started, from less than 2 years ago. Anyway he’s able to have a huge experience in this path, and become bit by bit, in what he always wanted.
