visual art, film, music, outdoors, and the many permutations of the aforementioned.
People who don't think I'm a loser.

the office (UK), extras (UK), curb your enthusiasm, tv carnage (CAN), trailer park boys (CAN), cable access (cambridge, mass), you tube, fuck broadcast television. the occasional movie on basic cable, but there is nothing on tv that'll blow my socks off since Family Guy. sometimes ill watch a crappy movie on tv muted with a good record or cd playing in the background. oh, and i forgot C-SPAN has its moments.
just read- history of the english language, the stranger by camus, the power of babel: a natural history of language, fashionable nonsense: postmodernist intellectuals' abuse of science, programming the universe: a quantum computer scientist takes on the cosmos, stephen wolfram's a new kind science (only the first 20 pages then i chucked it), the know-it-all (for a good laugh).I'll only read fiction if its the classics and im in jail and ive read the PDR twice. I also like books on history- Greek politics, Roman conquest of Britain, the wars in the Caucasus, the industrial revolution, metropolitan/suburban sprawl/decay. Linguistics/ Philosophy- post-structuralism, deconstructionism, anti-oedipus: capitalism and schizophrenia and a thousand plateaux by deleuze and guattari are right by my bedside for theraputic reasons. And a good chunk of print i read are online articles that nobody else reads.
see images and soundbites (pending) "we can clearly see that there is no biunivocal correspondence between linear signifying links and archi-writing, depending on the author, and this multireferential, multidimensional machinic catalysis. The symmetry of scale, the transversality, the pathic non-discursive character of their expansion: all these dimensions remove us from the logic of the excluded middle and reinforce us in the dismissal of the ontological binarism we criticised previously" -Felix Guattari. sorry, what was that again?
