SMOKE THAT CHRONIC! - WWW.EOSMOVEMENT.COM

About Me

In the summer of 2002, three South Asian music artists from different walks of life met for the first time at a house party in Toronto, Canada. Known as Indie, Synic, and I-Que, they discovered they shared similar experiences and viewpoints on the urban music industry. They felt that the rap game had deteriorated and the majority of the artists were recycling old tunes and producing music without much thought in the content and lyrics. They also felt that urban music is a genre of music like rock and pop and ought to transcend race, gender, and age.The three decided to band together to form ‘Elements of Surprise’, now known simply as ‘E.O.S’. Their goal: to elevate urban music into a world class genre by producing quality mainstream urban music. The group faced many challenges during the production of several underground tracks including a demo album called “First Saved Message”. In 2004, E.O.S performed in an underground event for emerging urban artists. As the group came on stage, the crowd jeered and booed them off before they could begin their performance. They realized then that they faced a major battle in gaining mainstream acceptance due to their skin tone.In 2006, E.O.S made a major breakthrough in the urban music industry. Their talent was recognized by Marcus Kane, a multi-platinum producer who was recently named the Producer of the Year at the 2004 Canadian Urban Music Awards. They worked together to produce the first 2 hit tracks for the up and coming full length debut album “The Rap Superhero LP”.Their first hit, “Keep Clappin’” aired in Toronto on Z103.5 all summer long and achieved Z103.5’s Top 103 Songs of 2006. Their second hit, “Tonight featuring Dwight Anderson” was released in early 2007 and quickly climbed to the top 40 radio spins of Z103.5 and Flow 93.5.E.O.S is the first South Asian group to be accepted by the Top 40 / Urban music industry and their achievements are already considered a major accomplishment and success. Their debut album “The Rap Superhero LP” was released in 2007.Media Contact: Brian Ko E.O.S Entertainment Inc. 416.893.4807 [email protected]
