About Me

This is the part where I over analyze myself in hopes to say something profound... na.
"see the animal in his cage that you built?
are you sure what side you're on?
better not look him too closely in the eye...
are you sure what side of the glass you're on?
see the safety of the life you have built?
everything where it belongs...
feel the hollowness inside of your heart
and it's all... right where it belongs...
what if everything around you isn't quite what it seems?
what if all the world you think you know is an elaborate dream?
and if you look at your reflection, is that all you want to be?
what if you could look right through the crack?
would you find yourself... find yourself afraid to see?
what if all the world's inside of your head?
just creations of your own...
your devils and your gods all the living and the dead
and you really are alone
you can live in this illusion
you can choose to believe
you keep looking but you can't find the words
are you hiding in the trees?
what if everything around you isn't quite what as seems?
what if all the world you used to know is an elaborate dream?
and if you look at your reflection, is that all you want to be?
what if you could look right through the cracks?
would you find yourself... find yourself afraid to see?"

Music:

First, I like anything and everything as long as it wasn't formed by some big wig record company in hopes of tapping in to some overlooked money market. The things I look for in music are things such as: soul, originality, talent, culture, artistry, ect..

I particularly like metal such as Meshuggah, Chimaira, Lamb of God, ect... but I also LOVE Bjork and everything on the opposite side of the spectrum.

I go through phases.

example: I went through a electronic jazz phase, or an expiramental ambience phase, ect...

I have about 100 Gigs of music with everything from metal, industrial, punk, to bluegrass, classic rock, funk, jazz, indie, classical, world beat, and hip hop. Anything I can get my hands on. He is a small list:

Television:

If I could... Discovery Science Channel 24/7. I hate sitcoms and am not on the "series dvd" bandwagon...except for robot chicken. that shit is funny.

Books:

I'll admit that I don't really read a lot. Its one of those things that I enjoy when I do it but can't really make myself be consistant with unless I do so in concentrated periods of time like a vacation or something. I have such a short attention span sometimes. I am that guy that reads 3 pages and realizes that I was thinking about something else the whole time. I can't tell you how many books I have bought but never finished--even if I was enjoying them. Some of my favs that I have finished were: Celestine Prophecy, Siddhartha, and The Sirens of Titan. I like philisophical fanticis I guess.

Heroes:

Hmmmm... the only person that comes to mind is Jimi Hendrix as he was my first inspiration to picking up and start playing music which lead to a whole career in it. I can't really think of anyone else off the top of my head that I put on a pedastool. People are people and all are capable of great things.
