"Ten Tiers new release Don’s Club Tavern Part One is a smash hit...combining all the key elements that are right up there with all-star material: Timely, conscious and right on the money. Here’s a band to watch out for. Keyword: Compelling" - Carmen Allgood, The Colorado Wave Syndicated radio.

Racks and Razors interview with JT! scary!
Read the Interview with JT at Denver Message Board!!!
Ten Tiers was nominated in the Pop category for the 2006 Westword Music Showcase.
Now... what were we saying?
Is it pop-rock? No. (well, if the Westword wants to call it that, then okay, we’ll let them call it whatever they want!) Is it alternative-rock? Possibly. Is it progressive-rock? Sorta. Is it drama-rock? Huh? Is it rock? Yes. But wait, is it metal? No. But it is rock.
Described as a fusion of David Bowie and Cat Stevens, Ten Tiers has won over fans from LA to New York and from metal rock to pop music and everything in between.
"Imaginative songwriting, powerful vocal’s backed by amazing melodies..." - Elana Jefferson, Denver Post Weekend
"Jonathan Tiersten is one of the five best songwriters to come out of the Denver and Boulder area in the last fifteen years and that includes Big Head Todd." - Sharon Rawles, Talent Director - Capitol Hill Peoples Fair
"I’m really getting into the new album with two songs ALREADY thrusting themselves into my subconcious as I write (and in general) - The title track’s (Tied Up) hook grabbed me from the very first listen, and just gets better each listen. And I was surprised to find myself really loving the 13th track (November) that I think is my current favorite..." - Sean Crouch, Lead Writer for the CBS hit show "NUMB3RS"
We are trying to create music that leaves you with something. Melodies and hooks are great, but in the end it has to be about emotion and desire. Life and death. Boredom and sex. Hate and fear. The never ending yet excruciating process of self investigation and a healthy bit of loathing. If you want to avoid therapy, write, perform; make a complete ass of yourself and maybe, just maybe, change someones life or night for better or worse. B.B. King once said, " The Blues aren’t about feeling bad. Their about making other people feel worse". At its best music just makes us feel. We aren’t a blues band. But I think we know what it is to have the blues in you. Listen and experience.
