Music is what you make it - and thats exactly what makes the difference. Rease is the new alternative rock discovery from Luzern, Switzerland - a band that not only can play rock, but really knows how to combine a load of groovy guitar riffs and catchy melodies and play them with feel and expression. The songs ranges from smooth acoustics to pop tunes and good old head banging rock school. The performance is diversified and dynamic - and not to miss out on!
Singer and guitar player Andy Iten started with writing songs for the band quite a while ago until he decided to sing the songs himself. Born in New Zealand but living in Switzerland, Andy prefers to write in English and terms himself as a music consumer. I try to write music the way I would like to hear it in the ordinance; he says and proves it with a lot of ear candy that stays in head for weeks.
Shortly after, the rest of the band joins in and gives the band the finishing touch. Michael de Mont (prev. Misses Jones) adds the colour and gives the band the necessary feed of guitars. Drummer Sandro Cadeddu (prev. X-Age) precisely hits the groove supported by David Wolters who keeps a steady bass line and makes it all melt together.
Rease will play a couple of gigs this year to give you a taste of their music and skills. Its hard to describe the feeling you get while listening to Rease, but you maybe can compare it with a speed rush - buckle up!

Musik ist, was man daraus macht - und genau das dachte sich auch Rease. So nennt sich die neue Alternativ-Rock Entdeckung aus dem Raum Luzern - eine Band, die es versteht, nicht nur Rock zu spielen, sondern frische eingängige Gitarren-Riffs und harmonievolle Melodien mit Ausdruck und Gefühl zu verbinden. Von sanften Akustik-Songs bis hin zu energiegeladenen Dampfwalzen - das Programm bietet viel Abwechslung und Dynamik. Rease darf man sich auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen!
Sänger und Gitarrist Andy Iten begann schon früh sich mit dem Songwriting auseinander zu setzen und begann vor nicht all zu langer Zeit seine Songs selber zu singen. Der in Neuseeland geborene Vollblutmusiker schreibt englische Texte und bezeichnet sich selber als Musikkonsument. Ich schreibe meine Musik wie ich es als Zuhörer gerne hören möchte, sagt er und beweist das auch mit fetzigen Ohrenwürmern, die einem richtig unter die Haut gehen.
Schon bald kamen neue Bandmitglieder dazu und ergänzten die Musik mit den nötigen Finessen. Gitarrist Michael de Mont (ehem. Misses Jones) unterstützt das Ganze mit viel Druck und verleiht dem Spiel einiges an Power. Drummer Sandro Cadeddu (ehem. X-Age) lässt sich nicht aus der Ruhe bringen und spielt zusammen mit Bassist Dave Wolters (ehem. Eric St. Michaels) einen richtig fetten Groove.
Rease wird im 2006 einige Gigs spielen und dem Publikum einiges an Live- Musik bieten. Es ist schwierig das Gefühl zu beschreiben, das einem diese Musik geben kann, aber man könnte es vielleicht mit einem Geschwindigkeitsrausch vergleichen. Buckle up!
