Jason Wright & The Master’s Touch

The Masters Touch is an anointed aggregation of singers who were birthed out of the spirit of their leader, Minister M. Jason Wright. Minister Wright is no stranger to gospel music and the performance industry, as he is a lead singer on the hit song Take Me Back, as well as a member of the Stellar Award winning group Ricky Dillard & The New Generation Chorale. Jason has recorded several albums with Ricky, as well as Dorothy Norwood, and Jesse Williams & Destiny on the Malaco label. Most recently he appeared as a guest lead on the second live recording for Torontos own, Colvin Chambers & Freedom 2 Worship, and on the upcoming CD release of Danell Daymon & Royalty of Seattle. Jason is also the State Minister of Music for the New York Western First Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ (where his father Bishop James R. Wright, Sr. is prelate), as well Music Director/Consultant at both New Progressive Cathedral COGIC (pastored by his father) & New Born Fellowship Christian Center (pastored by Warren & Perdita Meeks) in Rochester, NY.Jason Wright has traveled the world (including Germany, Italy, and England) ministering the Gospel; he has written songs for many artists, and has contributed his vocal help to many artists and their projects, but the most important ministry step that he has made has been to begin The Masters Touch. After hearing from the Lord in July of 2005 Jason called specific people that God had given him, and told them of what he was going to do. After holding the first audition session and then rehearsal in August of 2005 he had about twenty powerful young singers.Today The Masters Touch is proud to have a membership of over thirty dedicated and ministry minded young singers from different walks of life and denominations. The Masters Touch now has members living in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Connecticut, Toronto, and other places across the globe, but all with one common denominator and that is JESUS. Every Tuesday night the choir not only holds its rehearsals, but they always begin rehearsal with prayer & consecration because Mr. Wright says prayer is the adhesive that holds any effective ministry together, many of the rehearsals for the choir turn into one-night revivals and praise festivals, and that is just what you can expect at one of their concerts.Jason Wright & The Masters Touch have shared the stage with many different artists, traveled across New York state and the country at large, and continue to be in high demand in their home town of Rochester, New York as well as the Western New York area. On May 19, 2007 Min. Wright & "The Touch" (as they are affectionately called) recorded their FIRST Live CD in their hometown of Rochester, NY with many special guest soloists and writers from across the country as well as a full to capacity crowd. Their debut cd will be released on April 8, 2008 on the indy label Derby Town Records. In September of 2007 Jason & "The Touch" won the award of "Choir of The Year" at Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole’s Singer’s & Musicians Conference.
