I am a native of Brooklyn. I was an academic achiever in high school. I loved participating in activities, such as playing on the school tennis team and serving as the football squad's bear mascot (it was sure hot in that costume!). Unfortunately, I got knocked up in high school when I met Stan Zbornak. Stan and I raised two children, Michael and Kate. After I caught Stan cheating with some floosy, I divorced him and became a substitute teacher. After all, I majored in American history.I am very active in community projects in the greater Miami area. I serve as the chairwoman of the Ladies Auxiliary Hospital Variety Show Benefit. This year's show was quite spectacular. Somehow, Rose managed to get Mr. Bob Hope to appear! He was so wonderful. Although I'm not sure he is Rose's father.Although my exterior may be rough, on the inside, I am a true romantic at heart. I once fell hard for a P.E. teacher at a school I was subbing. I hit the sheets with him, but he later confessed he was married. I was so hurt. Again. Is there ANY man that can satisfy Dorothy?Another time, I had a fling with an actor who came to our community theater to guest star in a production. His name was Patrick Vaughan.Patrick Vaughan
The only thing is, he was dating EVERYBODY in the cast, including Frank, the stage manager! Once again, I faced heartbreak.Another one of my regrets is when I helped one of my students, Mario, win an essay contest. But the damn INS found out he was an illegal alien and shipped him back home. I loved it when that little guy called me "teach." I understand he is doing quite well now and he recently sent me a picture:Isn't Mario handsome!I tell you, it's never a dull moment. I'll never forget when Ma slipped the Pope's ring off his finger! I was so embarrassed!I have also been on television. With my roommates and Ma, I was on the game show "Grab that Dough." But all we won was a frying pan from Fry Quick (a piece of junk) and a lifetime supply of soup (which gave Ma the runs). You might have also seen me on a local show called "Wake up Miami." The subject of the show was Lesbian Lovers of Miami. Rose tricked Blanche and I to appear. I was so embarrassed because my favorite teacher from high school, Mr. Gordon, was in the audience. But he turned out to be a plagiarist, so I don't care much what he thinks.I love to do plays at the Miami Community Theater. After my heartbreak with Patrick Vaughan, I returned triumphantly to the stage portraying "Turkey Lurkey." I even got a good review in the elementary school newspaper.I live with two roommates, Blanche and Rose, and my mother, Sophia.
