As leader of the GEORGE KOLLER QUINTET with regular members: Vito Rezza, Bob Brough, Lina Allemano, Russ Little, Hajile Kalaike, Davide DiRenzo...I compose and conduct a varied and eclectic type of
Jazz/World/Free music...melodic, yet inventive..like dixieland of a future time, where structures, songs, solos, interludes, poetic inspirations, backgrounds and textures are improvised and
spontaneously communicated from musician to musician to audience and back again..very challenging and most rewarding*
Listed below are some of the fantastic
artists I have toured extensively
with and/or recorded or performed with..*I love you all*, thank you
for the unending inspiration: I am filling in the names
of some great musicians and administrative and technical teams that I've worked with inside each artists' circle ...it will take
a bit of time and tweaking....but I will complete this list to the best of my abilities~GK

Music for Plants, Animals and Humans
October 24, 2004
Reviewer: inloveinfrance
Overall: ***** 5 stars
Pros: creative. brave. beautiful. earthy
Cons: must actually listen to understand - like Art Blakey
I first met George Koller when he was touring Alberta with the Shuffle Demons. Not only is he an interesting man but I found his bass-playing to be incredibly unique. He's such an amazing musician, he's performed and recorded with many Canadian greats in both jazz and pop as well as everything in between. I'm very surprised that I'm the first to review him for Yahoo!
Music for Plants, Animals and Humans is not an easy listening album; without reading the liner notes I'd guess that his biggest influence is mother earth. (He uses western and world instrumentation to emote her depths into translated sound.) It is raw and lovely - evocatively subtle meets primal scream therapy.
You should own Music for Plants, Animals and Humans because:
1. It's both meaningful and skilled music - these two attributes are not necessarily easy to find in a single artists capabilities
2. It makes for great conversation
3. You are supporting the finer elements of Canadian musical art
4. It's obscure enough (yet well connected) to have a fantasic "cool" factor.
Sounds Like: He is not seperate from the sound that is created
