About Me

Quramitry started off as a singer-songwriter project by Mark Courage, AKA Quram, somewhere during the mid-nineties.
Since the beginning of Quramitry it had various different forms to record or perform the music, which is mostly written by Mark.
That also is the power of existance of Quramitry.
Mark believes that Songs can evolve more by playing them in different circumstances.
Thereby the songs are gaining their identity by the people who are joining in on playing and arranging the songs.
In the beginning of 2005, the band went for a rock-idiom, with two electric guitars, organs, rhodes, wurlitzers, freaky basses and very loud drums.
Now, 2006, this has evolved in a five membered band with mainly acoustic instruments.
The sound has changed a bit, and so did the songs!
Mainly the use of an accordeon and violin, gives the music of Quramitry a totally different feel.
You can say that they are slightly touching a bit of tex-mex in their eclectic sound which is kind of a summary of popmusic-history.
