You Are A Maple Tree
There's not anyone in this world quite like you.
You are full of imagination, ambition, and originality.
Shy but confident, you hunger for new experiences.
You have a good memory and learn easily.
You are sometimes nervous and always complex (especially in love). What's Your Celtic Horoscope?

DAMAGED
Plumb
Dreaming comes so easily
'cause it's all that I've known
True love is a fairytale
I'm damaged, so how would I know
I'm scared and I'm alone
I'm ashamed
And I need for you to know
I didn't say all the things that I wanted to say
And you can't take back what you've taken away
'cause I feel you, I feel you near me
I didn't say all the things that I wanted to say
And you can't take back what you've taken away
'cause I feel you, I feel you near me
Healing comes so painfully
And it chills to the bone
Will anyone get close to me?
I'm damaged, as I'm sure you know
There's mending for my soul
An ending to this fear
Forgiveness for a man who was stronger
I was just a little girl, but I can't go back
DYING
Five for Fighting
I'm Dying,
Dying to wake up without you
without you in my head again
I'm Dying,
Dying to forget about you
that you ever lived
There's a shade come over this heart
that's coping with laying down to rest
I'm Dying to live without you again
I'm Dying,
Dying to find a distraction
get you away from me
I'm Dying,
Dying to reach a conclusion
so that the world can see
It's the same old story of love and glory
that broke before it bent
I'm Dying to live without you again
The first time you left I said goodbye
Now there's not a prayer that can survive
Dying,
Dying to die just to come back
so we can meet again
Dying,
Dying to say what I always
should have said
It's a strange emotion this
but there's still hope in this
As long as there's a breath...
I'm Dying and I can't live without you again
It's a strange emotion this
but there's still hope in this
As long as there's a breath...
I'm Dying and I can't live without you
I'm Dying and I can't live without you again
YELLOW
Coldplay
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah they were all Yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things that you do
And it was called Yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
And it was all Yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
You know, you know, I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
'cause you were all Yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all Yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know
For you I'd bleed myself dry
For you I'd bleed myself dry
It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
YOU
Switchfoot
There's always something in the way
There's always something getting through
but it's not me
it's You, it's You
Sometimes ignorance rings true
but hope is not in what i know
it's not in me...me
it's in You, it's in You
It's all i know
It's all i know
It's all i know
I find peace when I'm confused
I find hope when I'm let down
not in me...me
in You
it's in You
I hope to lose myself for good
I hope to find it in the end
not in me...me
in You
in You
in You
It's all i know
It's all i know
It's all i know
in You
in You
it's in You
it's in You
There's always something in the way
There's always something getting through
but it's not me
it's You
it's You
it's You....
LIKE A STAR
Corinne Bailey Rae
Just like a star across my sky
Just like an angel off the page
You have appeared to my life
Feel like I'll never be the same
Just like a song in my heart
Just like oil on my hands
Honour to love you
Still I wonder why it is
I don't argue like this
With anyone but you
We do it all the time
Blowing out my mind
You've got this look I can't describe
You make me feel like I'm alive
When everything else is au fait
Without a doubt you're on my side
Heaven has been away too long
Can't find the words to write this song
Oh...
Your love
Still I wonder why it is
I don't argue like this
With anyone but you
We do it all the time,
Blowing out my mind
I have come to understand
The way it is
It's not a secret anymore
'cause we've been through that before
From tonight I know that you're the only one
I've been confused and in the dark
Now I understand
I wonder why it is
I don't argue like this
With anyone but you
I wonder why it is
I won't let my guard down
To anyone but you
We do it all the time
Blowing out my mind
Just like a star across my sky
Just like an angel off the page
You have appeared to my life
Feel like I'll never be the same
Just like a song in my heart
Just like oil on my hands.
EVERYTHING
Lifehouse
find me here
speak to me
i want to feel you
i need to hear you
you are the light
that is leading me
to the place where
i find peace again
you are the strength
that keeps me walking
you are the hope
that keeps me trusting
you are the life to my soul
you are my purpose
you are everything
and how can i
stand here with you
and not be moved by you
would you tell me
how could it be
any better than this
you calm the storms
you give me rest
you hold me in your hands
you won't let me fall
you still my heart
and you take my breath away
would you take me in
would you take me deeper now
'cause you're all i want
you are all i need
you are everything
everything
COLORBLIND
Counting Crows
I am colorblind
Coffee black and egg white
Pull me out from inside
I am ready, I am ready, I am ready
I am taffy stuck and tongue tied
Stutter shook and uptight
Pull me out from inside
I am ready, I am ready, I am ready
I am fine
I am covered in skin
No one gets to come in
Pull me out from inside
I am folded and unfolded and unfolding
I am colorblind
Coffee black and egg white
Pull me out from inside
I am ready, I am ready, I am ready
I am fine
I am fine
I am fine
I CAN'T MAKE YOU LOVE ME
Bonnie Raitt
Turn down the lights
turn down the bed
Turn down these voices
inside my head
Lay down with me
tell me no lies
Just hold me close
don't patronize
Don't patronize me
'Cause I can't make you love me
if you don't
You can't make your heart feel
something it won't
Here in the dark
in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart
and I'll feel the power
But you won't
no you won't
'Cause I can't make you love me
if you don't
I'll close my eyes
then I won't see
The love you don't feel
when you're holding me
Morning will come
and I'll do what's right
Just give me till then
to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight
'Cause I can't make you love me
if you don't
You can't make your heart feel
something it won't
Here in the dark
in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart
and I'll feel the power
But you won't
no you won't
'Cause I can't make you love me
if you don't

TRL - 9th September 2006
Extras is a hilarious 30 minutes long comedy series revolving around Andy (Ricky Gervais) and Maggie (Ashley Jensen) who both work as Extras in the film and television business. Andy struggles all the time to move forward in his career while Maggie has constant short-lived affairs with people from the set. Every time when both are close to their goals they have a knack on destroying their luck by involuntarily insulting others. The guests in this series play themselves. Thus, Orlando is Orlando the movie star. He is hilarious as he plays the vain A-lister in this one.
"Episode 1 opens with a clip of a Hollywood romantic comedy starring Orlando Bloom as a nonreconstructed barrister who comes up against his estranged wife (Sophia Myles) in a courtroom battle. You only see one scene, but it's great fun to do."
~Ricky Gervais, TV Guide
Did you warn Johnny Depp about making fun of him?
Before I agreed to do it I sent it off to Johnny to get his approval, and he was, of course, cool with it. He loves British humor. ~Orlando Bloom, VMan Interview
"The joke is that he falls for Maggie and it's the one time she's not interested," says Gervais. "Orlando was great -- he wanted to make the character really desperate. He totally sends himself up. In real life, he doesn't go around worrying about polls of the most handsome actors in the world. He knows that if you want any longevity in this business, the last thing you want to be known as is pretty."

IT'LL ALL WORK OUT
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
She wore faded jeans and soft black leather
She had eyes so blue they looked like weather
When she needed me i wasn't around
That's the way it goes, it'll all work out
There were times apart, there were times together
I was pledged to her for worse or better
When it mattered most i let her down
That's the way it goes, it'll all work out
It'll all work out eventually
Better off with him than here with me
It'll all work out eventually
Maybe better with him than here with me
Now the wind is high and the rain is heavy
And the water's rising in the levee
Still i think of her when the sun goes down
It never goes away, but it all works out
MY FATHER'S GUN
Elton John
From this day on I own my father's gun
We dug his shallow grave beneath the sun
I laid his broken body down below the southern land
It wouldn't do to bury him where any yankee stands
I'll take my horse and I'll ride the northern plain
To wear the colour of the greys
and join the fight again
I'll not rest until I know the cause is fought and won
From this day on until I die
I'll wear my father's gun
I'd like to know where the riverboat sails tonight
To New Orleans well that's just fine alright
`cause there's fighting there
and the company needs men
So slip us a rope and sail on round the bend
As soon as this is over we'll go home
To plant the seeds of justice in our bones
To watch the children growing
and see the women sewing
There'll be laughter when the bells of freedom ring
COME PICK ME UP
Ryan Adams
when they call your name
will you walk right up
with a smile on your face
or will you cower in fear
in your favorite sweater
with an old love letter
i wish you would
i wish you would
come pick me up
take me out
fuck me up
steal my records
screw all my friends
they’re all full of shit
with a smile on your face
and then do it again
i wish you would
when you’re walking downtown
do you wish i was there
do you wish it was me
with the windows clear and the mannequins eyes
do they all look like mine
you know you could
i wish you would
come pick me up
take me out
fuck me up
steal my records
screw all my friends behind my back
with a smile on your face
and then do it again
i wish you would
i wish you’d make up my bed
so i could make up my mind
try it for sleeping instead
maybe you’ll rest sometime
i wish i could
WHERE TO BEGIN
My Morning Jacket
Up and up and up I climb
When I came up I was so far behind
My head takes a lickin'
But my heart keeps on tickin
Just the same.
Always startin' over but somehow
I always know where to begin.
Round and round and round I ride
And just when I looked I hadn't even began
To feel the effect
A cool, dark fever
On the brain.
That feelin' takin' over
Like a holy rollercoaster
To the grave.
How can I await the day?
And last the night I'm here to see?
How do I await the mother lode?
It's the art of feeling naked in your clothes.
Again, again, again I tried
That's how I knew I would never be denied
That face in the mirror
Who could it be? It was my own.
That cool, dark figure
That's when I knew I was alone.
On and on and on I drive
When will I know I have finally arrived?
So far I've gone, so far to go
It never ends.
Always starting over but somehow
I always know where to begin
Always starting over but somehow
I always know where to begin
Always starting over but somehow
I always know where to begin.
LONG RIDE HOME
Patty Griffin
Long black limousine
Shiniest car I've ever seen
The back seat is nice and clean
She rides as quiet as a dream
Someone dug a hole six long feet in the ground
I said goodbye to you and I threw my roses down
Ain't nothing left at all
in the end of being proud
With me riding in this car,
and you flying through the clouds
I've had some time to think about you
And watch the sun set like a stone
I've had some time to think about you
On the long ride home
One day I took your tiny hand
Put your finger in the wedding band
Your daddy gave a piece of land
We laid ourselves the best of plans
Forty years go by with someone laying in your bed
Forty years of things you say
you wish you'd never said
How hard would it have been to say
some kinder words instead
I wonder as I stare up at the sky turning red
I've had some time to think about you
And watch the sun set like a stone
I've had some time to think about you
On the long ride home
Headlights staring at the driveway
The house is dark as it can be
I go inside and all is silent
It seems as empty as the inside of me
I've had some time to think about you
And watch the sun set like a stone
I've had some time to think about you
On the long, on the long
Oh the long, on the long
On the long ride home
JESUS WAS A CROSSMAKER
The Hollies
Sweet silver angels over the sea
Please come down flying low for me
One time I trusted a stranger
'cause I heard his sweet song
And it was gently enticing me
Though there was something wrong
When I turned he was gone
Blinding me his song remains reminding me
He's a bandit and a heartbreaker
Oh, but Jesus was a Crossmaker
Chorus
He wages war with the devil
A pistol by his side
And though he chases him out my window and
Won't give him a place to hide
He keeps his door open wide
Fighting him
He lights a lamp inviting him
He's a bandit and a heartbreaker
Oh, but Jesus was a Crossmaker
I hear the thunder come rumbling
The light never looked so dim
I see the junction get nearer
And danger's in the wind
And either road's looking grim
Hiding me I flee desire's dividing me
He's a bandit and a heartbreaker
Oh, but Jesus was a Crossmaker
Yeah, but Jesus was a Crossmaker
LEARNING TO FLY
Tom Petty
Well I started out down a dirty road
Started out all alone
And the sun went down as I crossed the hill
The town lit up the world got still
I'm learning to fly but I ain't got wings
Comin' down is the hardest thing
Well the good old days may not return
And the rocks might melt, and the sea may burn
I'm learning to fly but I ain't got wings
Comin' down is the hardest thing
Well some say life will beat you down
Break your heart, steal your crown
So I started out for god knows where
But I guess I'll know when I get there
I'm learning to fly around the clouds
But what goes up must come down
I'm learning to fly but I ain't got wings
Comin' down is the hardest thing
I'm learning to fly around the clouds
But what goes up must come down
I'm learning to fly
I'm learning to fly
MOON RIVER
Patty Griffin
Moon river, wider than a mile
I'm crossing you in style someday
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're goin', i'm goin' your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbow's end,
waitin' 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me
(moon river, wider than a mile)
(i'm crossin' you in style someday)
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're goin', i'm goin' your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after that same rainbow's end,
waitin' 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend, moon river, and me
BIG LOVE
Lindsey Buckingham
Looking out for love
In the night so still
Oh I'll build you a kingdom
In that house on the hill
Looking out for love
Big, big love
You said that you love me
And that you always will
Oh you begged me to keep you
In that house on the hill
Looking out for love
Big, big love
I wake up alone
With it all
I wake up
But only to fall
Looking out for love
Big, big love
Just looking out for love
Big, big love
FREE BIRD
Lynyrd Skynyrd
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on now
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see
But if I stayed here with you, girl,
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you cannot change
Lord knows, I can't change
Bye, bye, its been a sweet love
Though this feeling I can't change
But please don't take it badly
'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame
But if I stayed here with you girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you'll never change
And this bird you cannot change
Lord knows, I can't change
Lord help me, I can't change.

~E-Town Script by Cameron Crowe~
About the [dancing with one hand waving free] scene:
"Something happened in that hall of trees. Call it the music, or just the growing internal life of Orlando as Drew, but in one take this young actor's whole working life seems to take a leap. It's one of those breathtaking moments you dream of in a movie - and I hope I'm not jinxing it by writing this - but watching it, a whole raft of feelings start to well up. I can feel my dad, my own family, all the intentions of the script, start to come together. And when the take is over, Orlando bounds back with a soul full of oxygen and excitement and pride. He knows it too."
About the [bridge] scene by the Mississippi:
"We play The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony for the sequence and that too summons magic. I can't help it, some tears squirt out as I watch Orlando walk proudly back down the bridge, holding the urn aloft with a single hand. Looking around after the ash throwing sequence, I'm not the only one dabbing tears."

GAP Ad Campaign

Aired: April 28 - May 2002 across US and Canada
Academy Award winner Cameron Crowe marks his directorial debut in TV advertising with the spot "Denim Invasion," which features Kate Beckinsale and Orlando Bloom as an alluring couple whose summer stroll is interrupted by admirers.
The campaign was created under the direction of Lisa Prisco, the creative director behind some of Gap's most memorable TV ads. Prisco and the director collaborated to create commercial that would feel like a short film. Contributing to this effect is the "one take" technique, which required unedited, carefully choreographed camera movement from start to finish. In addition, the spot is set to two different soundtracks of '60s-inspired music, creating dramatically different emotions of the same scene.
"I can't tell you why I get so excited every time I see the black-and-white Gap commercial titled "Denim Invasion," directed by Cameron Crowe. Maybe it's the look of joyous surprise on the faces of Kate Beckinsale and Orlando Bloom when a crowd of admirers appears out of nowhere and starts chasing them down a street. Maybe it's the Troggs' "Love Is All Around" playing in the background."

Round Table Children's Wishes
Emma aged 13, is a huge Orlando Bloom fan and wished to spend a little time with her idol so when she was referred by the Children’s Hospital for Wales we started making calls. After hearing quickly from Orlando Bloom’s agent that he was in the UK, Emma and her family travelled to London later that week.....
They met Orlando at one of his favourite restaurants for lunch where they had a wonderful time just chatting for hours. Emma said, “He was so friendly and easy to talk to, it was brilliant.” After lunch, the day just got better and better when Orlando offered to drive Emma and her family to the London Eye. Emma just could not believe she was being chauffeured by her idol in his sporty Audi! Our thanks to Orlando Bloom for making the time to make Emma’s wish come true...

FUN FACTS

'Orlando' is a 3-syllable boy's name of Germanic origin, which means "One who is famous throughout the land."

He was named after the 17th century English composer Orlando Gibbons .

Orlando is a Dragon according to the Chinese birth calendar. Dragons are highly attractive and magnetic. Learn more about the dragon here . (The Chinese year ends on the first new moon of the following year, so he IS a Dragon, not a Snake).

Using The Learning Channel's Beauty Grid that mathematically detects beauty in the human face, Orlando's beauty is proved scientifically!

Orlando's birthstone is the garnet, a symbol of constancy. The garnet will inspire all hearts towards Orlando and keep them faithful.

Orlando's favorite color yellow is said to be the color of optimistic and idealistic people. People who prefer yellow are probably active as well.

He's allergic to peanut butter.

As a kid, he was dyslexic, and now he says he is "mildly dyslexic."

He collects vintage watches.

Middle-earth and Beyond...

He was spotted performing in a play by Peter Jackson, which resulted him being cast in The Lord of the Rings. He originally auditioned for the part of Faramir, Boromir's brother, who wouldn't be introduced until The Two Towers. But Peter thought he would be perfect for Legolas instead. Orlando learned that he got the part the day before he graduated from Guildhall.

During the filming for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, he fell off his horse and broke one of his ribs.

While on location in New Zealand, despite warnings from producers to avoid high-risk activities that might result in injuries, he quickly became known as the daredevil of the cast, and frequently went bungee jumping and snow boarding, and learned to surf with the actors playing the Hobbits. As he explained, "We sampled everything the country has to offer."

He made archery a very popular sport in the UK. Many youngsters saw him with a bow in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and decided to join archery schools.

Amusingly enough, his 2000 guest appearance in the British television show, "Midsomer Murders" (1997) references and discusses J.R.R. Tolkien's masterpiece "The Lord of the Rings" (Particularly "Lothlorien"), for which he was eventually cast (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring).

He has on his right forearm a tattoo of the Elvish word for "nine", a reference to his involvement in the Lord of the Rings and the fact that his character was one of the nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring. - "It was designed by Alan Lee, who illustrated all of the Lord of the Rings books. It's in Elvish script, and it's the word for nine. We all chose to put them in different places. I got mine on my forearm, because I'm an archer."

His big heroic scene atop the Mumakil in The Return of the King was shot in just one day. He was filmed on top of a pile of sandbags.

Most of the lines Legolas says in the Extended Edition scene of the Paths of the Dead are direct quotes from the book.

Each of the cast members was given a gift on their last day of shooting, usually a prop that was significant to their roles. He got one of Legolas' bows.

Becoming Leggy...

He endured a 2 hour make-up session every morning.

He shaved his hair into a mohawk to lift his hairline to that of an Elves and so that his wig would fit better.

He wore blue contact lenses.

He had to learn archery, how to ride a horse bareback (while shooting an arrow), and how to fight and wield two swords. "I started off with archery, I rode about 20 different horses, I had physical training in the gym, and I had to learn the Elvish ways of speaking and fighting. Their fighting is based on ancient European and Asian martial arts, so I had a trainer who taught me how to use the blades. I also did a lot of movement training, because movement is my way into the character." - SFX Magazine

A Pirate's Life for me...

His Elvish tattoo is visible during the sword-fight in the blacksmith shop when Will raises his sword to parry after Jack's "You're not a eunuch, are you?" and again below decks on the Interceptor where Elizabeth reveals she took the medallion and Will realizes it was his blood the pirates need to lift the curse - you can see it just as he reaches to touch the medallion on her chest.

He was one of the only cast members to not have a wig, although he did have hair extensions in The Curse of the Black Pearl.

He was the last of the main characters to be signed on for the movie. He signed the day before he showed up to shoot his first scene where he was tossing and flipping the sword. He only had ten minutes to work on it.

When Jack sprays Will's face with the sack of red powder in the blacksmith shop, he is actually being sprayed with powdered chocolate.

The scene where Orlando Bloom impersonates Johnny Depp's performance was devised by Bloom who asked producer Jerry Bruckheimer if he could put it into the movie.

Jerry Bruckheimer offered Orlando the role back in 2001 while filming Black Hawk Down in Morocco, before the Fellowship of the Ring even came out.

Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Tobey Maguire, Christopher Masterson and Christian Bale were all considered for the role of Will Turner.

His appearance in Wilde earned him various film offers, but he turned those offers down in favor of attending the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama (other famous alumni include Ewan McGregor, Joseph Fiennes, and Ben Chaplin).

On how he got the part in Black Hawk Down: "My character breaks his back, and I had mentioned I had done that when I was up for the part. Who knows why one actor gets a job and another doesn't? I think it was just good timing that I happened to be there and I’ve had the experience - I mean, I was lucky."

He found his dog, Sidi, while filming Kingdom of Heaven.

He is 18 months younger than Judy Greer but still plays her big brother in Elizabethtown.

Cameron Crowe had written the role of Drew Baylor with Orlando Bloom in mind. When Crowe originally offered Bloom the part, Bloom was unable to take it due to scheduling conflicts with Kingdom of Heaven. Crowe then pushed his January 2004 start shoot date back to July 2004 for a summer shoot. Many young actors that included Sean William Scott, James Franco, Colin Hanks and Chris Evans auditioned for the part of Drew. But Crowe pushed to get Orlando Bloom instead. When Bloom was able to work the film into his schedule, Crowe cast him in the part.

While shooting a scene in a cemetery with actors Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst, filming was interrupted due to an unexpected rain storm. Cameron Crowe suggested they shoot the scene anyway because it looked more beautiful and natural.

He has received an invitation to join the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in Stratford Upon Avon, which he plans to do in the near future when he has some time off from working on film. His goal is to perform Hamlet on the Swan stage (RSC main), one of Shakespeare's most challenging works.

He became only the second actor after Bernard Hill to have 2 movies to gross over 1 billion dollars worldwide (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King).
