Let's drive south until the van breaks down.

About Me

I am currently in semi-retirement.

A few years ago, I decided that my life is worth far more than most employers can afford, and therefore I can not have a job. At least not a real job.
And so, after years of hesitation, in early 2006 I quit my easy-going job for the sake of reclaiming my life. It's not that I hated my job, it just wasn't enough. I was told as a child that I could do anything I put my mind to, and so help me God I'm going to try. You only get one shot at this, so I say do what you love. If you fuck it all up, well, at least it'll make for an interesting end. I might regret this path, but I know I'd regret much more if I never tried.
When I left my job, my co-workers were all very curious as to whether I felt I could find enough work to keep busy. I told them I never liked working much anyway. They looked awfully confused.
I now spend my time between many different hobbies, some of which I get paid for. I make photographs, design websites and prints, screen clothing, write music, and teach photography.

I know I'm not the first person to go about this. I don't have all the answers, but I'd like to think I have more answers than most kids my age. I guess we'll see when we're all on our deathbeds.

My Interests

Striving for perfection in everything I do.
And New York City. I am addicted to NYC.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interested in chatting about interesting things be it photography, design, music, philosophy, mathematics, theoretical physics, travel destinations, color theory, or whatever. Please don't add me if you aren't planning on speaking with me.

Feel free to send me a message if you are interested in getting some work done. Or if you have something you'd think I'd be interested in, pass it along.

I'm trying only to surround myself with people whom I feel are trying their best to be decent people. Remember, this is just myspace. But back in real life, I have no more patience for those who aren't worthy of my time. If you think that's pretentious, you're right. If you think that's completely reasonable, we're probably already friends. :)

Nathan's Myspace Friends
I'm not really sure how to put this... but I'm kind of a big deal.
And just like everyone else, I've got friends. If you really care about that sort of thing, you can click here to see them, in no particular order.
