Of Course Music! Going to concerts, writing music, and performing is a huge part of who I am. Anything of Celtic background, whether it be music, books, or drink :) is extremely important. Hiking, hockey, cooking, learning languages, hating the mundane and conservative are also favorites.
Englightened people. People who 'get it'.
This is the money question with a Musician isn't it? But the problem is that all good musicians find something good or interesting in everything they hear. This question changes every day for me. I appreciate music with integrity more than anything else. If you don't even put an ounce of orginality in it, then it's not worth my time. Other than that, I listen to pretty much everything.Feel free to ask "Cece, do you like ____?" And then I'll say Yay or nay.
What the Bleep do We Know?, Anything with a good Irish or Scottish plot or people, and anything with John Cusack get my vote.
The Simpsons, That 70's Show, 24, Father Ted, anything BBC-ish is good too.
Anything written by Bruce Chatwin (travel writer), Mike Nelson's "Mind Over Matters", Five People You Meet in Heaven. There's plenty more books, but not enough time or space to put them all here.
Paul Wellstone, Rosa Parks, Johnny Cash (post drug phase), James Connolly, Ray Borque, and last but not least, my favorite opera singer of all time Marilyn Horne.
