Not too much to tell, except that I am the proud husband to a future opera sensation, Christina Marzano Haystead! Her MySpace page is located at: http://www.myspace.com/amneriscat . Together we are proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Cecilia (age 5) and Aida (age 4). Though it may be trying at times, and I feel akin to Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof when he expresses a little feeling of being overwhelmed at having five daughters, I could not feel more blessed at being their Dad.
I currently work as Director of Technology/Senior Data Analyst for Marzano & Associates, Inc. a K-12 Education Consulting firm started by my father-in-law, Dr. Robert J. Marzano based in Centennial, CO.
My wife would have to claim responsibility for introducing me to the world of opera! I confess that I fell asleep once or twice, but I would say that working the opening shift at Starbucks those mornings was a valid reason to be tired - lol. I can't wait to see her perform at the Met! I am so proud of her endeavor to grace the opera stage. Since we have season tickets to Opera Colorado, I have had the opportunity to see fifteen operas or so. My favorite is a toss up between Madama Butterfly, Carmen, La Boheme, and Tosca. There are a few others that top my list and might even by my favorite if I could just remember the titles. Well, I never claimed to have the opera chops my wife has! Though I am improving.
Thanks to some new found friends on MySpace, you could say that I am becoming an opera addict. I find myself captivated by the gorgeous lyric coloratura voice of Laura Sage, the Founder, Artistic Director, and Executive Producer for the Lyric Opera of Los Angeles (LOLA) .
The following video clips come from her performance as Manon in LOLA's April 30, 2006 production of "Manon Lescaut" by Auber.
The following comes from Donizetti's "Rita"

The following clips feature Mezzo Soprano Buffy Baggot in the title role of Bizet's Carmen. Before you know it, my delicious darling Christina will be gracing the world's stage in the same role. She is by far and away my personal favorite as Carmen. Probably for reasons that would make a nun blush...hmmm.
