I am here for Dating and Serious Relationships

About Me

I enjoy meeting people, hearing new stories and sharing mine, and checking out new worlds. I enjoy finding random fun - be it in a corn maze in iowa, a 'flea market' on the west side, the pope museum, or just a new movie/show/band, whatever. If it's bizarre and quirky, I'm usually up for it.I don't really like labels - which kinda allows me to do my own thing. But it also makes it harder to describe myself using trite, short sentences. In the end I think it's worth it as stereotypes tend to bore me...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Someone who is bright and curious, open to new ideas and strong in their sense of self. Goofy and quirky are good, restraining orders and hidden wives are bad. Conversation and humor are best. I'd rather eat blood sausage than deal with materialistic, sports obsessed, young republican types. I find that attraction is more than how tall someone is, how fat his wallet is, or what fancy job title he has on his business card. I much prefer people who enjoy breaking the mold and trying new things. Those who seek out odd, fun things to do in Chicago. People who are as interesting in person as they are on here.

Today's New Discovery

Garfield Park Conservatory's Fern Room is paperwork nirvana. Somehow the pure oxygen, the warm humid air, and the greenery everywhere helps you forget Chicago is playing November outside and paperwork...

The Placeholder

Lately my friends and I have been discussing the phenomenon of the "placeholder". These are people we date and spend time with not because they are Mr. or Ms. Right, or even someone we're particularly...

Damn New Years

Too much fun with my friends on New Years lends itself nicely to an exhausted liver and a spasming back. Maybe pogo dancing while shouting "Woo!" for 3 hours at live band karaoke was a bad thing. Yes,...
