People, People, People. I am open to meeting any people. I like being in touch with people where I grew up...cause I miss it so much. I miss the food, the smells, the beach, the shopping..blah, blah, blah.... I am of Cuban decent so I miss my roots in the Bronx..the people I grew up with...@ Park Lane. I have never forgot anyone from my Block....We are connected forever. I am still in touch with some of them and nothing will ever change. The bond is stronger than any friendships I ever had and I miss them all!! Lorraine (my best friend ever), Sandra, Becky, Julie, Iris, J.J., Annie....Lefty (RIP), Gene, Eddie, Joe, Renee, Papo and I can go on and on.
My early influences are good old soul. I think I can sing every song from 1968 until 1975 that hit the soul charts in NYC. I evolved into hard rock (1975-?....Tull, Yes, Zepplin, cause my brother was into it. I then moved to Chicago where I evolved into the scene here....Sex Pistols, Damned, The Jam, Gang of Four, Buzzcocks..on top of all the great local bands popping up. Of course moving on to New Order, Joy Division, Depeche Mode type stuff...only cause we had to... since all the punk bars closed here in Chicago. As I grow older I am appreciating the Chicago Blues scene...that is the best jam music ever. Check out my friends who are all very talented muscians... Also check out my cousin "The Milkman" who is doing some great stuff with Hip Hop in NYC.
