Scoot!

I am here for Friends

About Me

80 pages of scootin' fun, 6 times a year. We cover all models of vintage and modern scooters such as Vespa, Lambretta, Honda, Kymco, Aprilia, TGB, Yamaha, Suzuki, Fuji, etc. If it's got 2 wheels and you step through it to drive it, well, we're probably interested in it. Get it at: www.scootmagazine.com

My Interests

Vintage and modern motor scooters, Art, Music, Fashion, Travel, Laughin at gas guzzlers, Turnin wrenches, Scooter rallies

I'd like to meet:

Scooter kids from around the world. Old men with barns full of SX200s who've never heard of ebay. Mods, Rockers, Gearheads, Rude boys, Skinheads, Suedeheads, Scootergrrls, Punks, Anoraks, Moped geeks and Art dorks.

IF YOU WANT TO ADD SCOOT! MAGAZINE AS A FRIEND:
We want to add friends who have a genuine interest in scooters, not people just looking to increase their friend count. If you want to add Scoot! as a friend, the easiest way to make sure your request is approved is to leave a note in your friend request stating that you own or love scooters and/or our magazine. Or, make sure your profile contains pictures of scooters or mentions scooters. If your profile is set to private and your default picture does not have a scooter in it, you may not be approved unless you put a note in with your friend request.

Music:

Start with some Ska, then add some Maximum rock n roll, Soul, Psych, Power pop, Punk, Rockabilly then a little Be-bop, Big band, Hip hop, Industrial and a little touch of Country...there, you got it! Scoot!,/i has an active music review department. We'll take CDs and books that cover the above listed music.

Movies:

Is there a scooter in it? What about some cool 60s stuff? Better watch it just in case...We're in the process of creating a database of films with scooters in them. Send us your suggestions!

Television:

All of the sudden the news has discovered scooters, but we've been preachin it for 10 years. Yes they get good mileage, yes they're stylish, yes they're fun! But PLEASE...if I have to see another newspaper article that starts out "Ever since Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn rode a scooter in Roman Holiday..." Can't journalists come up with another angle?!?

Books:

Our noses can usually be found buried in a Haynes manual or Stickey's Lambretta book or maybe the Vespa Technica books, Vittorio Tessera's Lambretta book, Peter Moore's Vroom with a View or any obscure 2-Stroke tuning manual. We also love music & pop culture books.

Heroes:

Enrico Piaggio, Corradino DíAscanio, Ferdinando Innocenti, that guy who crossed the channel on the scooter boat.
