About Me

Peaches: Hello everybody! My name is Peaches, and I'm a rat! I live in Southern California. I have four roomates: my human mom named Shannon, another rat named Scabbers, a boa constrictor named Marie Antoinette, and a kingsnake named Azrael. My mom brought me home in about April of 2005. I was supposed to be dinner for Marie Antoinette. I was really scared, but Marie didn't want to eat me! Maybe she saw how cute I am. Anyways, my mom saved me before Marie could change her mind and put me up in her old hamster's cage. I was so tiny that I sunk right into the pine shavings and you couldn't even see me! The next week my mom brought home Scabbers. He's a gray rat, and he was supposed to be dinner for Marie too. Marie probably would've eaten him, but she didn't have the chance. My mom saved him, and fed Marie a frozen rat instead.Me and Scabbers were real shy at first, but we got used to our new home and now we run the joint!
Scabbers: Hello! Scabbers here! Peaches has been having so much fun on MySpace that I wanted my own MySpace too! My mom said no, but she made Peaches share this one with me. Peaches doesn't like to share much.I'm named after the Weasley's rat in the Harry Potter books/movies. My mom got me as snake food too, but I was way too cute to feed to the snake. I was just a very small rat then, and I was very scared. The people at the reptile store weren't very nice to me, and neither were the other rats. My mom noticed right away that I am missing a toe on my right-front paw, just like Scabbers in the Harry Potter books! So that's how I got my name.I had to live separate from Peaches for a long time after I came home. I was so lonely. One day my mom said that I had to go to the doctor, and that when I came home I could play with Peaches more often! I was so excited, but she tricked me! The dumb doctor neutered me! Well, I guess he's not that dumb, I think he did a good job. I healed up just fine, and then I moved in with Peaches! When I first moved in Peaches wouldn't share with me at all, and we fought a little bit too. These days we get along much better.I am much bigger now, in fact, I could stand to lose a few ounces...or grams...or whatever. Oh well! I am a happy rat, with a hot rat girlfriend, and a cool house--what more could a guy want?!

My Interests

Pack-ratting, sleeping, grooming, wrestling with each other, teasing the snakes, stealing...food, gum, pencils, scraps of paper, and money. I love money! One time we stole $100 from our mom's purse! It just smelled so good, it was all crisp and new! She looked for it for days!
