The Experiment are Sydney's best kept secret. A two piece rock and roll band with a hint of the unknown.
Drums, guitar, vocals, harmonies, samples and effects are a few of the main ingredients of The Experiment.
Drummer Tomi Grey grew up in the hills while miles across the country Jed Clarke was living life in the midst of the city. They both came together by a bizarre twist of fate where they got to talking about ideals, ambitions and their love of music. The Experiment was born into a garage in late 2006, spawning ideas and plotting to bring around the demise of todays "pop culture" to pick up where bands like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana left off.
Come September '06 The Experiment played their first live show to a full house. Since then they have been steadily making a name for themselves as an unpredictable, anything-goes, electrifying band, playing with some of Sydney’s biggest names. The Red Riders, Hell City Glamours, Coda and Something With Numbers among them. With over 50 live shows, a 6 track demo, and east coast tour and a growing reputation under their belt, in less than 6 months of live performance, The Experiment are making definite headway.
There is still a long road ahead but its clear The Experiment is beginning to cause a tumultuous underground swell that is soon to unavoidably burst forward, bringing with it, awareness of The Experiment in full flood.
