We Got The Guy

About Me

It starts with my sister, Susan, setting me down the path to ruin. Putting her headphones on me, making me listen to "the hungry wolf," "hungry like the wolf," and "don't you want me baby." Then, I saw Back to the Future, and played guitar on any sticklike apparatus I could find, broomsticks, gigantic tinkertoys. Then, for my 8th birthday, I got a guitar. And I guess at that point, I decided to be a musician. I really liked the Police, and Bon Jovi. And NWA and Ice-T and Third Bass, and Weird Al. And then, Susan again, gives me a tape of Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band's "bat chain puller." More Runiation. I might've just like what was on the radio... I could've been a contender. There was an article I read about chapel hill that forced me to buy a polvo record. I was officially Issued the first MR Bungle record at 13, as all male children I knew were. Sean Westergard made me listen to Naked City, and Jimi Hendrix, and suggested I buy the john coltrane record "meditations." At 15 I started to play Electric, and then shortly after Double Bass. Pat Farrell really helped me figure some shit out. Zach Wallace too. In january of 1996 I played my first real, offical rock show, with Poignant Plecostomus. And it's all downhill from there. I met Bill Brovold, and joined Larval in 1998. I met Brian Lipson, and Tim Brown, and started Hearing from the Gap in 1999/2000. Also, met brian, chris and jacob and started crush kill destroy in '99 as well. In 2001 I moved, with ckd, to chicago. I continue to live in chicago, and try to write music, and ride my bicyle and be happy.
