About Me

Writer, editor and DJ Dennis Sebayan performs monthly in NYC at GYM Sports Bar, Therapy and GalleryBar. His sets are sharply executed, leaving both patrons (and management) elevated and uplifted. Aside from the club and lounge sect, Sebayan has also provided the soundtrack to fashion show runways, including the Art For Progress "Clash of the Artists" fashion competition and Sid's recent fashion shows in NYC.As Managing Editor for Onbeat.com, Dennis fuses the best in global electronic music, with a guided purpose to present the most relevant, upfront news in an insightful and informative manner. This was the 4th year DJ Dennis Sebayan performed at Ultra Music Festival 09 in Miami, taking top-billing position in the UMF Collective Arena this year - not to mention the actual set, which had attendees clamoring for some leg room in the pounding tent.In the past, Dennis has DJd mostly in NYC: Sullivan Room, NYC; Crobar, NYC; Former G-Lounge NYC resident DJ; a yearlong party at Boogaloo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; Sugar in Tribeca - the list goes on-and-on. Sebayan was also lucky to travel and DJ a warm-up set at Ice (RIP) in Las Vegas one night in 2004, when Doc Marten DJd. And he also performed at The Townhouse Hotel in Miami twice during WMC, with luminaries Josh Wink and Tommie Sunshine in 2006. The second year, 2007, he performed alongside Charles Webster and JT Donaldson .Aside from that, Dennis contributes regularly to URB Magazine as the Trance singles curator. He also freelances for Out Magazine, covering trance to house to techno to retro to electro to rock. Dennis has also been known to provide the occasional soundbyte on NPR Radio or write the odd fashion designer profile, film or book review.
