About Me

Hailing from the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers of St. Louis, Missouri, people often suggest that I am the real-life love child of my father, an avant-garde jazz sax player and my mother who has a beautiful voice and talent for writing.I was raised with listening to my father play in blues bands around town, jazz radio and millions of songs from his personal collection. Being brought up with heavy helpings of jazz and the down home blues of St. Louis, I was naturally drawn to the piano and saxophone as my first instruments and have been greatly influenced by them in my singing. As I started singing regularly in high school, I also began exploring my passion for writing lyrics and composing.I am currently studying vocal performance and songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Thanks for stopping by!
