News: I'm more or less taking a break from Bootz-related activities while I try to graduate Berklee with a jazz comp degree. The good news is that I only have 4 months, 1 recital, and 1 portfolio to complete before a degree is in my hands.
Hi, I'm Kyle Butz. I'm a trombonist/guitarist/banjoist from Missouri who spends too much time on the banjo(too little on trombone and guitar). After escaping the mind altering grip of a single sex Catholic high school, not at all unscathed, I journeyed to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music. I now study jazz composition and spend any and all free time writing songs and imagining what they would sound like with an unmanageably large ensemble.
