Travel, music, daydreaming, going to the dog park, rock climbing (anything outdoors, really), baking surprise goodies for other people, saving the world one stray cat at a time, meeting interesting people, challenging myself...and of course, Miss Meowsie
Anyone who can tell a good story or a good joke...and Lyle Lovett.
Too much to try to list it all here. My musical choices can vary wildly depending on my mood.
Not my strongest category.... Some of the good ones I can think of when I'm put on the spot are Annie Hall, Defending Your Life, As Good As It Gets, Everything is Illuminated, You Can Count On Me, Adaptation, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Shopgirl, Ghost World, It's a Wonderful Life... and anything by Christopher Guest, when I need a sure laugh
I try to avoid getting sucked into the TV (luckily my lack of cable at home limits my options), but will always make time to see The Office. I've been on a late-night PBS kick lately...you never know what you'll learn.
Some of my favorites include The Alchemist, The Little Prince, the writings of CS Lewis (especially The Four Loves, and A Grief Observed) and Walt Whitman (Song of the Open Road never loses its power). Other good reads that come to mind: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Stealing Jesus, The Power of Myth, The Things They Carried, Man's Search for Meaning, All Over But the Shoutin', The Power of One, The Prophet...
Is it cliche to say my mother? So be it. She's a brave, funny, smart, honest, selfless, beautiful soul...I'm just lucky enough to have her for my mom.
