Pan-Tiki-Terror

Tiki Artist & Sculptor,Record collector & occasional DJ. I started carving Tiki sculpture in the late 90s.I have always been in love with everything South Pacific or Hawaiian because of my Dad's stories when he was there in 1959 with the Merchant Navy.Even more so after being introduced to Tiki by my friend Neil Scott.(Terminally anal country - gospel-bop collecting Ted )Naff all wrong with that in my book !A lot of inspiration was gained during my one month stay in the Hawaiian Islands in 2004. (Oahu, Big Island, Maui) Went back & got hitched up there in '07 Fanatastic !Returning September '08I carve Tikis of all styles & sizes My latest Tikis are in the South London Pacific Bar, Kennington, South London, UK. You can catch a glimpse of these Tikis at the London Luau in 08.Always a carving in progress.It's tons of fun & I meet some great peopleI've been into Rockabilly Music from as far back as I can remember.I probably heared my first rockabilly record when I was very young (Who the hell know's) . I know I had a Sun compilation album at 11.That sounds pretty anal & snobby but that's how it was.Now I'm glad to say it's even more anal. My brother & I were into scrounging any old vinyl that our school friend's parents had at home.Our end of week ritual was putting all our ill gotten spoils on the table & seeing what we had there.We had a huge LONDON collection between us (most of it crap) but there was always the odd prize to be found.That's where all the trouble started.I've been collecting original 45s ever since (with varying degrees of success/excess )A Rockabilly,trainspotting,windowlicking, Ambulance-chaser,to the core.Twat !!!!!!My favourite word :- "Smorgasboard"
