23/09/08 - Sunday 28th we have a punk special with 7 bands for Â£4. Headliners I.C.H finish off their tour with a home town bash...THE TWISTED AUTUMN BALL is scheduled for Friday 17th October...line up for HALLOWEEN BASH now confirmed as CARVED FROM VIOLENCE + SHOTGUN AFFAIR + TRASH MONROE + ESOTERICA + UNLEASH: THE FURY + a special one off appearance by local supergroup FOUR FLOORS OF WHORES. Expect the unexpected...SACRED MOTHER TONGUE will be here on Friday 21st Nov. If you like your guitar you have to check out these guys.
29/07/08 - Melodic Power Metallers have confirmed a show here for Friday 5th December. Featuring ex members of DRAGONFORCE, Powerquest have toured with the likes of HELLOWEEN, PAGANS MIND, ANGRA & FIREWIND. A real treat for Essex headbangers.

18/07/08 - Visible Noise hardcore crew THE LEGACY have confirmed a show here on 11th September. New album "Beyond Hurt Beyond Hell" is out now and getting fantastic reviews and the band will be supporting BRING ME THE HORIZON later in the year. Support comes from label-mates CRY FOR SILENCE. Tickets now on sale.
16/07/08 - VOODOO SIX are coming back to The Twist for a headline show on Friday Sept 19th. They were mighty impressive a few weeks back when they supported Blaze and I know a lot of you have been asking when would they be back. Well here it is. Tickets on sale now at Â£6.
04/07/08 - DIVIDING THE LINE have confirmed a show here at The Twist for 15th October. Support will come from ALL FORGOTTEN and LIONESS. Tickets on sale shortly.
23/06/08 - After a barnstorming set on Saturday night, WHOLE LOTTA LED have asked to come back as soon as possible!!! So we have them back here on Saturday 13th December. Thanks to everyone who made it such a great night. Tickets will be available online in the next 48 hours.

21/05/08 - Check out ESOTERICA www.myspace.com/esoterica. With a support for HIM under their belts, playlisted on XFM, 6Music and Total Rock and a debut produced by John Fryer (NIN, HIM, DEPECHE MODE), these guys have been described as the British TOOL. ..Just booked in for 19th July. Great band.
14/05/08 - BRIGADE will be playing at The Twist on 22nd July. Currently on tour with FIGHTSTAR, Brigade have recently been confirmed for DOWNLOAD as have tour support SLAVES TO GRAVITY (featuring former members of The Ga Gas). With appearances scheduled for Download, T In The Park, The Wireless Festival in Hyde Park & The V Festival, this is a great opportunity to see the next big thing up close and personal!
08/05/08 - We are very pleased to confirm that South Coast Metalcore Quintet BURY TOMORROW have been added to The Download Warm Up Festival and will be playing on the Saturday evening (7th June).

18/04/08 - Classic Rockers STRAY have now been confirmed for Saturday 4th October for what will be the 3rd time here for Del Brohham and the boys. Tickets available online soon.
The Download Warm Up Festival is taking shape nicely with confirmed bands so far FOREVER NEVER, CARVED FROM VIOLENCE, SANCTORUM, EXOTERICA, CIVILLIAN, KENAI, UNLEASH: THE FURY & THE DISHONOURED. Lots more to be added over the next few days. The shows will take place on Fri June 6th & Saturday June 7th (all dayer). Tickets will be on sale shortly.
16/04/08 - GHOSTS ON PEGASUS BRIDGE have confirmed a date here on 11th August. We have some very exciting bands in the pipeline which we hope to confirm over the next few days. Watch this space!

25/3/08 - Congratulations to CARVED FROM VIOLENCE, winners of The Twist Metal Battle of the Bands 2008 and a big thank you to runners-up OVERRIDER and CIVILLIAN AND EXOTERICA for an awesome night of metal. An extra big thank you goes to all the fans who turned up and made the night a very special gig with a wonderful atmosphere. Cheers.

11/3/08 - The Finalists for The Twist Metal Battle of The Bands 2008 will be CARVED FROM VIOLENCE + CIVILLIAN + EXOTERICA + OVERRIDER on Friday 21st March. Tickets now on sale. There will also be a special guest performance from BEYOND ALL REASON. Judging will be carried out by an independent panel of industry judges.
10/3/08 - VOODOO SIX have now been confirmed as support for BLAZE on Sat. 17th May and POSTMORTEM PROMISES have confirmed a headline show here on May 1st.
20/2/08 - After consultation with the local Council & Police we will now be able to put on a limited number of 14+ shows here at The Twist giving young bands the chance to play at the premier live music venue in Essex and the chance for young music fans to see some fantastic bands, right on their doorstep. Watch this space for further info.

11/2/08 - Hello guys, we are going to start updating this page every week with new gigs, and updates in the world of the twist.
Metal BOTB is well underway, all of the 1st heats have been dealt with and now its quarter final time! Check the gig listings for more info about those dates.
There is a new club night being put on at the twist in conjunction with outside promoters and the twist music venue itself. There will be DJ's playing most styles of music, cheap drinks, and the main event, a guitar hero competition! Come on down to check out CLUB COLLISION.
