About Me

Victory Pill is the brain child of former Pitchshifter and Prodigy guitarist Jim Davies.
Formed in 2004 the bands line up features Davies on guitar and vocals with former Prodigy drummer Kieron pepper providing Bass and vocals, Pete Crossman on live synths and beats and Alex Baker handling the live drum duties.
Victory pill released their well received first download only single "Another clone" in September 06, this was followed in April 07 by the Critically acclaimed main single ’Worst case scenario’ released this time on limited edition C.D and vinyl.
"Impressive debut single from Jim Davies (ex-Pitchshifter/Prodigy Guitarist) - like a mix between both of his previous bands, with the earnest melodic bent of BoySetsFire - great stuff!!"-Subba-cultcha.com
"instant ,catchy, rocking riffage.this lives up to its superb pedigree" - Eddie Temple - XFM
"On the evidence of the early tracks, Victory Pill are going to soon be making their mark on a rock scene starved of a decent electro-rock band...." -www.planet-loud.com
"The Prospects for Victory Pill are very good, with an inventive and infectious sound.." www.last.fm/music
The accompanying video was shot by the french based DOSEprod, whose previous works included 2 videos for Pitchshifter (’Hidden agenda and ’Dead battery’).

The summer of 2007 saw the band land some prestigious supports slots including main support to U.S techno-metallers Static X and U.K ragga rockers Skindred, as well as many small club gigs on their own throughout the country.
The self titled debut album was finally released in the U.K on October 1st 2007, again to widespread critical acclaim. Produced in the main by band member Pete Crossman the album also featured 4 tracks produced by DJ Hyper’s production partner John Ross, with band member Kieron pepper cutting his production teeth on the single ’Worst case scenario’ The album was released in America on October 26th through ’Corporate punishment records (www.corporatepunishment.com) Releases are planned for Europe and Australia in early 2008.
"Victory pill sound like the result of a ’300’- like battle battle between Nine inch nail, Killing joke and Helmet, a blinding industrial rock album"-Big cheese
"with his familiar grating riffs and hard hitting beats and rhythms, their debut doesn’t fall short on catchy hooks and memorable tunes without compromising on energy and and aggression"-Metal hammer
"Victorious debut, reminds us what a unique guitar talent Jim Davies is"- Total guitar
"victory pill’s début long-player is a hard-hitting amalgamation of powerful guitar work and industrial beats with a strong political - Subbacultcha
"Brilliantly produced, thoroughly enjoyable and no elements of cheese anywhere, its a great listen and serious too"-LAB radio
Victory pill end 2007 with plans for more touring next early next year along side a high profile remix release scheduled for the same time. With the second album well on the way to being finished expect more of the same in 2008.
