Oh my, how the world still dearly loves a cage.

About Me

I am many things. Ultimately, I am human. It can be a challenge to reconcile how you perceive yourself and how others perceive you. I think I do okay in that respect. I am VERY Aquarian. I am the ultimate dichotomy of bitch and kind soul. I am very sarcastic. I believe in trying to be a responsible and mature adult but I don't take myself too seriously either. I love to laugh. Honesty and loyalty are of paramount importance to me. I believe that respect is earned. I trust until given reason not to. My friends are like family to me and I hold them in the highest regard. I am a good listener and I love to help when I can. I am exceptionally introspective, analytical, and open-minded. I can tend to be a bit on the morbid side, but mainly because I seek a greater understanding in all things (life and death, light and dark, spirituality, etc..). Reading, writing, and music are my passions. I find the human mind fascinating. I adore intelligent conversations and silly ones equally.
I do not put up with bullshit. I do not find humour in intolerance. I do not have time for drama. Mind you, there is a big difference between real problems and drama. I have real adult problems which I sometimes refer to in detail in my blogs. I speak the truth, whether pretty or not, and have no difficulty in doing so. If you don't like what I have to say, don't read it. I am not interested in egomaniacal and superficial people. Humility is a beautiful quality. If you are my friend and have a problem with another friend of mine, leave me out of it. I am not interested in being in the middle. I do not like religious proselytizing. People should be free to think and choose for themselves. I do believe that whatever you do comes back to you eventually and that one should take responsibility for one's own actions. Free-thinking begets greatness.
With that being said, I am always up for making fun and intelligent new friends!
Non fui, fui, non sum, non curo.

"Through the darkness of future past,
The magician longs to see...
One chants out between two worlds:
Fire- walk with me!"
"Don't tell me you don't know the difference
Between a lover and a fighter
With my pen and my electric typewriter
Even in a perfect world where everyone was equal
I'd still own the film rights and be working on the sequel"

Weirdos and oddballs. Diamonds in the rough. Those that can appreciate my sense of humour. People that can hold an intelligent conversation. Those that can see beyond that which is superficial. People that have the courage to overcome adversity and to challenge the norm. Those with open minds. People that are laid back. Those that are fun to be around. People who don't take themselves too seriously..
