Influences: Spilios Tzemos, born and raised in Peloponnese, is a full-time music journalist [Full Member of Greek Federation of Journalists - ESPIT / Full Member of International Federation of Journalists – IFJ] in Athens, Greece, for both mainstream and alternative music scenes. With a vast amount of music experience behind him, Spilios is the Founder and Head of “Alterground”, an established cultural events organization that holds around 25 international gigs per year as well as parties, festivals and other music events (Summer In The City Festival, Carnival Rock Festival, Concerts etc) + various media publications.Spilios possesses a library of records which contains over 20,000 albums from the period of WWII right up to the music scene at present, as well as an up to date database of local and international music concerning both mainstream and underground areas. He was educated at C.A.S.E. – G.C.E. School in Economics, Polytechnic of Central London in Business Information Technology, European Educational Organization in “Mass Media – major in radio”, Experimental School of Artistic Photography in “History – Aesthetics – Workmanship of Artistic Photography”.He began his venture into the music scene in high school when he produced his own school fanzine and piloted his own local radio station. At only 16 years old, he moved into more professional fields when he was employed as a permanent contributor of culture and entertainment for a monthly news and entertainment magazine called “Flash”. He gained experience and knowledge of the media market in urban areas, working in news and entertainment radio as a flow and broadcast manager outside of Athens for “Channel 24”, “Achaia 103.8” and “Prisma FM 94.6”.
