About Me
Victor Padilla aka The Mighty V I C is a veteran Hip Hop producer whose work spans over a decade. The Mighty V I C started his music career as a DJ in the mid 80’s playing at local venues. In 1990 V.I.C started a label named Krazie Noise where the music was manufactured and distributed by INDI distribution; a couple of the releases that got V.I.C connected into to the underground circuit were "Tap the Bottle" by the Renaissance, and “The Adventure†by Smooth Movement. Kid Capri, Funk Master Flex, and Stretch Armstrong were among some of the DJ’s that were committed to give these records spins over the airwaves. Because of these 2 releases V.I.C caught Juju of the Beatnuts attention and shortly thereafter connected with them joining their production squad. V I C was heavily involved in their first two releases Intoxicated Demons and Street Level. Padilla’s unique sound soon became sought after by some of some of hip hop’s most respected artists and in no time he was lacing beats on albums from Big Pun, Fat Joe, Rakim and many others.Remaining current in a fickle and trend filled industry can be one of the biggest obstacles a hip hop producer can face but with almost 15 years and several platinum plaques behind him V I C’s new projects with Joell Ortiz and Latin bombshell La Bruja help keep him ahead of the curve.V.I.C has produced and remixed for artists such as Nas, Big Pun, Akon, Fat Joe, Terror Squad, Kool G Rap, DJ Clue, Mobb Deep, Big Noyd, Kurious Jorge, Da Youngsters, Ice Cube and the Black Guerrillas, B Real, Ice T, MC Lyte, Kid N Play, Big L, Kurupt, Dead Prez, Da Licks, Inspector Deck, Sadat X,Grand Puba, Canibus, Naughty By Nature, Rakim, Lord Finesse, Butta Verses, Joell Ortiz and many more.
