But, if you for some reason prefer the written word to remain on the page, I would recommend anything by David or Amy Sedaris, Kerouac, Salinger, Palahniuk, Desade, Bukowski, Plath, Audrey Niffenegger, Martin, Nersesian, Inga Muscio, Natalie Angier, and a personal fav-Haruki Murakami and like 40028 others.
