About Me

Hey folks! A bit about me: I'm a singer/songwriter. I grew up in Salem, OR went to school at Central Washington University (BA in Music Business) and I recently moved to Hollywood, CA from Seattle, WA. I am a two time Grammy performer (99'/00') and winner of the 2005 BMI National John Lennon Songwriting Scholarship Award. I've enjoyed over 13 years of performing experience having developed my brand of indie/folk/pop in front of audiences in many venues on the West Coast. I was recently chosen by ASCAP to participate as one of fourteen songwriters in the 2007 Lester Sill Songwriting Workshop. I'm honored to have shared the stage with many national acts including Dave Matthews Band, David Spade, Kenny Rogers, Tommy Tutone, Ryan Cabrerra, Visqueen and The Divorce. Tis’ nigh...

Be that of disposition. Wading in collected thought. For an answer to the question, burning, nagging... "Tis' nigh," speaks one. One not seen, but heard. One either worldly or deity in form. And throu...

This midnight

Careful steps taken down a flight of cobblestone and plank. You, holding fast to a balance. Following a circular beam, illuminated. Tea lights flecked the air and dotted the sky this midnight. I crawl...

A Passing

It troubles me to know that I could have said goodbye. That I put it off too long, and now I'll never have a chance. You slipped away too fast... and I made my life too busy to make a little time. I w...

Route 66

The asphalt stretches through the city like a sleeping black cat, and rolls out to the far reaches of the desert. The road has been long. It has been lonely. And its been this way since the beginning ...

Condolences, HL...

Clouded skies overhead. Waiting to rush through. A pent up torrent. The sound of a speeding heart. Like a thousand rifles, fired. I hear it, and it rains the tears. Full of bullet holes and flooding. ...

The lonely few...

Space never meant "so alone." Since the moment I left you distant. On the night I became so old to you. Where you spent every feeling, you had to. And laid silent on the rooftop. Lifted high above the...

Calamity - Redemption

Pedals drip from flowers in a vase. Lying on the oak. As snow falls on blades of grass. In slow motion, face down. Like fallen soldiers in a battlefield. No longer moving through air (oxygen). We fall...

Swamp Fox

The "ever" that comes after for. So frequently uttered. The one they speak of. Vast and unknown, unfathomable, unrelenting... It exists. But they have never seen it. Nor have I, or will I, or they, or...

200 GB Heart

It's simple, though it's never easy. To keep a beating heart cloistered from the maligned tendencies of the humankind. The miserly wretches that seek to steal what is yours and stare in avarice. ...

Angel 2.0 (Hope lives...)

Energy expended, I switched to water. I held them all in my hands, I was losing steam though. Break. I walked to the edge of the liquid source and my life stopped (a fraction of a second [.67790]). An...
