About Me

Well, I have spent the last five years at a theatre in Iowa playing Patsy Cline in a show called Always Patsy Cline. It was a strange existence and I decided it was time to start playing me again. I moved back to KC in November of last year and got a job job, and normal one, for the first time in 8 years and it's been a strange transition. I come from a family of artists who all live in the area. My father is part of a gallery downtown and my sister Ann is a photographer in town. My Interests

music, music, music, reading books, lot's of books, art, theatre, food, movies,camping in the mountains, learning about and taking care of plants,words and spelling, telling and hearing horribly distasteful jokes(I mean really bad),putting random amounts of gas in my car, like 12.32 or 18.97, rubbing people's earlobes(I got that from my mother), hangin with my sisters, singin, dancin, lookin for fun and feelin groovy........... This is my nephew Finn having his first taste of real food (banana) I think he prefers the boob.

I'd like to meet:

Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, can this mean dead people? Anais Nin,George Bush, so I could spit in his eye,and lots of neat people...I kinda hate this question

Music:

I love classic country..Patsy, Johnny, Hank sr.,etc. I love Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder....Ani Difranco was my fav for years, but I can't handle her rabid fans anymore, so I quit going to her shows. Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Allison Krauss, Ryan Adams, Ben Harper, Brandi Carlile, Joni Mitchell, old Elton John makes me weep, Billie Holliday, Blackalicious, Jurrasic 5, Outkast, Del Castillo, I LOVE the Shins lately..listening to them incessantly...and last but not least, a little known band called the Beatles.I'm sure I left a jillion things out. Oh, and Willie Nelson is my boyfriend....he is.

Movies:

The Big Lebowski, Fargo, I guess most anything by the Coen bros, Breakfast at Tiffanys and anything with Audrey Hepburn in it, Muriel's Wedding, those Godfather movies aren't bad,Kill Bill, Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia, The Royal Tennenbaums,High Fidelity, Waiting for Guffman,Eternal Sunshine...,Being John Malkovich, The Holy Grail, Life of Brian,.....

Television:

I think Six Feet Under and Northern Exposure are the 2 best shows ever written, sadly they are both caput...I'm also a sucker for those real life forensic medicine shows on Court TV, dorky I know. I love me some Sopranos and Deadwood.... Oh, and of course the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Aaaaand I almost forgot to mention the Simpsons and Family Guy, duh....

Books:

I love anything by Barbara Kingsolver, Carl Hiaasen, Tom Robbins,Kurt Vonnegut, Anais Nin(not the erotica),Wally Lamb,Alice Hoffman, Pat Conroy, Jonathan Carroll....hell, I just love books. I am never not reading something. I even like a good suspense novel, although I am always immediately dismissive of contrived characters and situations.
